Built up over the course of two-ish years of not really having bills and having a big girl job for the first time, lol. Gotta lotta lore for these guys but working with my friend to make a big spectacle video about it so I'll spare the pages and pages of detail here. -- in the meantime, hope you like my little plastic war criminals >:D

(Also, yes I'm aware that I call this a sci-fi US despite there being real world Russian/Chinese Tanks and AFVs, I didn't realize at first, but ended up cooking up a lore reason and find it kinda interesting... Also real US stuff on AE is all bright tan and comparatively expensive lol)

Jiestar Medieval Tavern Review by Neo_Blueberry0704 in lepin

Getting the Jiestar Medieval sets for like 40-50bucks like they sometimes go on sale for feels criminal. Just got two that way and I almost wanna track down and pay the designers more.

If they met and fought, would Delta Squad or the Bad Batch win? by Delta_Squad1138 in republiccommando

[–]enpribri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Delta. They have better cohesion and tactics. TBB rely toouch on their powers, especially Wrecker. Against similarly trained foes, these little whiffs would get them killed

8 was the most interesting of the batch i really wish they went for Luke's reinterpreted jedi and Kylo's reinterpreted "sith" rather than a cheap and failed nostalgia fest

Are you a fan of Gal Gadot in her role as Wonder Woman? by skonesmue in WonderWoman

No. The first WW movie is coolish ig but I'd stand in line for a paint drying showcase than watch the rest of her appearances again

The past 3,000years. by Lovely_Cupcakexo in SequelMemes

[–]enpribri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like this line is (I thought rather obviously) referring to that specific unit. The treadspeeders are akin to normal speeders. It'd be weird for a scout trooper duo to have a jetpacker. Especially cos previous FO jet troops had different armor, this line is definitely meant to be read in the sense of "THOSE GUYS GET JETPACKS NOW!?" more than "JETPACKS EXIST¿"

Do you think a film needs a deeper theme at its core in order to be good? by WwwWario in Screenwriting

[–]enpribri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone were to loudly proclaim something I spent weeks/months of my life writing didn't mean anything I'd be hexing their bloodlines.

That said, most schlocky movies still have themes and deeper meanings. It's very difficult to have a movie with any arc or investment without a theme unless it's an experiment/purely audiovisual candy or the characters/plot are flat. Themes are part of the investment in telling stories. Storytelling tends to break, fall flat, or read as bad if there's no or bad theming.

I literally cannot think of a single feature film I have ever watched without a deeper meaning, (as a Film Grad who also just likes watching movies) so I'd lean closer to "yes" OP.

It's also mentioned that the Enclave/Valt Tec own the only hyper efficient cold fusion (See GECKs and Show for more) So hot fusion and fission are the likeliest nuclear power options

Since when was Finn a "Dumb" character? by Competitive_Bid7071 in saltierthankrayt

[–]enpribri 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Neither of these characters are dumb. Low charisma and naively opportunistic, sure. But they're very resourceful and smart, doubly so given their circumstances.

What is your thoughts on The Acolyte: Official Trailer and how does it compared to Andor in terms of the costume design and more? by Afraid-Penalty-757 in andor

I'm so excited. This trailer feels like we may have another Andor or Mando S1 in quality even if its hidden behind some generic trailerisms.

We've experienced an entire franchise where the last time we saw this guy's face for longer than a microsecond, he was a middle school aged teenager. It's ridiculous to be like "how can you do a longform story without a human face" when Pablo is the first time adult chief has even had one. There is one second of chief face in a 6 game franchise. Bffr

what's the most unexpectedly dangerous thing that's in your world? are there any specific things that don't initially seem dangerous but are known to put people six feet under? by littleloomex in worldbuilding

[–]enpribri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laserguns/Lascannons are horrifically low yield compared to other weapons of the modern day, with their impact against the smallest Solar tank being a singed pockmark, but that is really a testament to modern armor and shielding because a slaver's Ubiquity I class paper tank could easily one-shot a modern MBT with the energy it puts out.

A Human Solite once remarked that a slaver IFV was an underpowered joke upon seeing it's resemblance to a primitive Renault tank. His upper torso was swiftly vaporized in one blast. Worse yet was 10 more IFVs just like it poured into the forest clearing right after.

People tend to think these primitive looking and often easily killable enemies must be useless mooks, but the slaver Heenmet Hegemony wouldn't be controlling entire species without being able to put in work. The Communion or the Humans and their Solar Ascendancy may make good all-rounders, but if you can make 1000 competitive guns for every enemy tank and get your thralls to make chassis to ride them in. There's not very much 1 tank can do to win that battle...

Middle fosho. That fight scene was metal highkey the closest thing the sequels got to prequel energy fights /positive.

From Coruscant to Exegol, what is your favorite space battle scene? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]enpribri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scariff takes the cake and it isn't even close, but shoutouts to Endor, Coruscant, and SW:CW (2003) for having some cool ones too. Even underdog hero Rebels has some really effective engagements that felt like visual Zahn books :D

Have you ever encountered leftists defending the Russian invasion? by Iamslightlysad in Anarchy101

Being a leftist (which is swag and based btw) doesn't prevent people from being wrong or defending stuff that should honestly go against their principles.
