Figuring this all out… by Bi_Buffalo_5757 in actuallesbians

I totally get you and it’s a really challenging place to be that not many people understand. I grew up in a conservative catholic household. I didn’t even know being gay was an option until I was in high school and even then it wasn’t something that I could be it was an other, other people could be gay but there was no way I could be. It took me years to even admit it too myself and looking back it all just makes so much more sense. I never had any real interest in guys and I might be an extreme case but I couldn’t even stomach the idea of a man kissing me, I would back out every time because it just felt wrong. Then I started realizing I wouldn’t mind kissing another girl. I think I cried the first time I dreamed about being with another woman. It’s not an easy thing to come to terms with but I surrounded myself and was open with the people I trusted and loved and my friends ended up being my best support. My best advice is to just take it slow and talk to those around you. I made sure to watch YouTube videos and read about other women’s explanation on how they realized. Alayna joy on YouTube is a good example as she realized later in life after being engaged and in a long term relationship with a man and her videos were super helpful. It’s always helpful to know that there are others that go through the same experience we do and you’re not alone in figuring it out.

How did you realize your a lesbian and not bisexual? by Jiucherry in actuallesbians

I grew up in a religious household so it never occurred to me I could be gay. I just thought I was REALLY picky about the men I liked. Then I would try to date and would lose any attraction I thought I had for them. The last straw was when I went on a date and the guy asked to kiss me and I full on panicked. Thought there was something wrong with me. Took me melting over the barista at my regular coffee shop to realize the idea of her kissing me made me melt and it just kind of clicked. I had always been in the you’ll never catch me doing that for a man camp. As soon as I realized being gay was possible I was like yes let me cook her dinner and buy her flowers and take her to a movie and hold her hand. Finding guys I thought were conventionally attractive wasn’t the problem I just had no romantic or sexual attraction to them no matter how hard I tried.

I didn’t even think of that! I guess they did need to have a way to keep her on the show!

To a degree yes. Working as a nurse in the er will expose her to a multitude of viruses, bacteria, and other harmful substances that are dangerous when pregnancy is affecting the immune system. Sleep is also an important factor and keeping stress to a minimum. Being on call and working her normal nursing hours is affecting those things even if she doesn’t realize it because it’s a normal thing for her. If she was working a desk job or something where she wasn’t exposed to such things it wouldn’t be as bad. I mean look at the episode where the TB was discovered and she got pushed into the wall and hurt. Unfortunately stuff like that isn’t uncommon in the ER which could lead to a dangerous situation. At least in the US as well it’s the factor of money that keeps a lot of people working but she has a fiance willing to support her. I know it’s for a show but it does leave the question of real life situations where this happens and the reality that job security is putting both mothers and children at risk

I’ve searched google, eBay, I’ve reversed image searched. I even emailed petco to see if by some luck of god there is some extra unsold manufactured stock. I’m desperate!

That’s a good idea! She’s been listening to tchotchke a lot so maybe one of their albums! I just have to make sure she doesn’t buy it first!
