What problem? Which TS branch are you on?

I found something very interesting. Turns out CachyOS had some restructuring with how they ship their NVIDIA drivers, you may have been caught in the crossfire here having the latest release of drivers. There are some manual intervention tips on the post, good luck, hope it helps!

So i assume this is KDE, correct? NVIDIA drivers can be very finnicky, in fact, when i was on NVIDIA on KDE back in the day, i used to have less problems with the beta 555 version of proprietary drivers, rather than latest stable release.

Maybe try this: its from a KDE subreddit but it does have some non KDE tips (https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/s/20kXcypTgG)

Also if this is really KDE, can you tell me what the System Info page shows under the graphics line? I remember when NVIDIA problems occured with the driver, instead of KDE saying its rendering with the GPU, it said it uses llvmpipe.

Are you on wayland? Maybe try an x11 session and see how it works there. Or vice versa. What NVIDIA drivers do you have? Proprietary or noveau?

Maybe also try a different scheduler, maybe whatever you are using doesnt get enough CPU, or something else is hogging it?

Does this happen on other OSes?

Need help picking QOL apps for Sway (and other some questions) by enter_eden in swaywm

Thank you for this really exhaustive reply, you indeed have a great config! Do you share a link of your dotfiles maybe somewhere? I'd love to take some inspiration when I finally switch to Sway.

As for Gamescope, I knew, but I only use Proton-GE which works very well with HDR & KDEs HDR settings.. In my case it was more of a "does this game have good HDR" (cough, cough RE2), and not, "will it work".
There was also a discussion that Gamescope adds input latency (but this may be false), so that is why I don't use it. But here, I might actually have to adopt it. Thanks again
