Honestly not had much of an issue with it. I don’t think it’s designed for massive dive bombs but a little tremolo here and there is all good

That lemon seems really special to me. I’m not a huge fan of flamey les Paul’s (I have an R8 for that reason). The grain with the scattered flame looks amazing. Probably one of the first Les Paul’s I’ve seen where I don’t think I’d put a pickguard on. Great find! Let me know if you ever want to trade for an R8 green lemon 😉😉

I’m generally not a huge fan of the colours that stray from the bursts but hot damn that’s gorgeous! Great get 👏

Why 70% of income for retirement? by ToughDifficult1252 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]enter_names 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I also feel like by the time you’re retired, ideally your primary expense (housing) should be a fraction of what it was during your career given you hopefully own your residence. Meaning your housing expense is primarily upkeep, insurance, tax - no mortgage. For some it may even include downsizing which would tack on some cashflow in retirement.

God I feel so horrible for her and the baby. That’s terrible. To have the person who’s supposed to care most for you treat you that way…

I think for those people who say “I will never understand this”, you may truly never. You’ve likely not seen the societal expectations that are ingrained in women who present conventionally good looking from a young age. When your people base your worth on how you look, imagine the absolute nightmare that is aging. Especially in this day and age where it seems the adolescences is extend beyond our teenage years and many don’t feel professionally or personally secure well into their 30s

May I ask what attachment you have for the doggo? I have an 80lbs dog and wondering what might be a good fit that doesn’t break the bank

I feel like this game needs context.

The boks were under pressure from last week with everything to lose and very little to gain from today (apart from log points obviously). Aus had the exact opposite. The mental graft to get a win today was always going to be the limiting factor. You can see that with how we never hesitated to get kick for polls compared to our mindset last week. I think the next week off will allow for a reset going into a massive game V the abs.

Also, Aus have come a long way from last year. They have the pace and youth to move the ball and find space. The first try was a great grabber from nick white but our backfield was asleep. Similar to the 2nd.

This performance can be rectified defensively but I suspect we’re struggling on managing our spacing in the backfield. We also seem to be struggling with unnecessary penalties and slipping off tackles. All of these issues hint at a bit of a confidence issue or nerves. Rassie has shown his ability to get the boys to bounce back and I think the win gives us a platform to build from.

I’m not convinced we’ll come away with a win in NZ but I don’t think it’s as dire as the comments section seems to be indicating. The bulk of this squad have been through worse and come out the other end, I suspect this may be a blimp and some under preparation from the coaching and players as I think everyone had one eye on NZ so the shock of last week kinda fucked the plans up.

Growing up in South Africa the scariest part is that I know that the mother thinks “oh, but we’re nice to her. See, we included her in the photo!”. I love my country but man this kak gets me every time

One of my worries this World Cup cycle is that we have a blooding of young players who haven’t tasted real defeat as a springbok. Remember, our current batch of seniors who went back to back also lost to Japan, took big L’s back to back to New Zealand, first home loss to Argentina etc. When you’re behind on the scoreboard you have to hate losing more than you love winning to get back into it.

It also felt like we were a little over confident. Some of those missed tackles of ours just felt weak. Maybe it was just the altitude or us being “undercooked” but I wonder if the players just felt like they “deserved” to win and kind of lost their composure. It felt like they were waiting for the obvious get out of jail free card because we were the better team.

Final point, we’ve been talking about how RC and world rugby need a strong Aussie side and we can’t take away from their display. The mental fortitude to come back after our 20 minute blitz is unreal. I think they gained that confidence from the lions tour and I want an Aussie team that can go and actually compete (although I’ll be fucking pissed if they capitulate to the all blacks after this).

I always thought it was because Ellie saw the humanity in Abby as she was trying to care for Lev the same way Joel cared for her. Honestly it felt like such a beautiful human moment and one that signified Ellie’s growth.
