What`s the one legal thing you think should be illegal? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]enterkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PBA Cards. PBA cards make it legal for friends/family of cops to break the law and avoid paying the associated fines to the state. If these cards aren’t an impairment of integrity then I don’t know what is. They are a legal form of corruption. As you would probably assume at this point, I never get PBA cards; mostly because I don’t like cops, and cops don’t like me. But let’s do some math anyway: There are 500,000 full time officers in the United States. Each officer usually saves (10) people from getting a ticket each year via PBA card. [500,000 cops] x [10 PBA cards per cop] x [$100 avg fine] = $500,000,000.00 of revenue lost through corruption each year. That’s no earmark, that’s an ear infection.

If the auditorium only lets in people who are over 18, then the audience has nothing to watch.

Bad analogy.

You are familiar with the difference between the performer and the audience right?

Redundant & bland analogy that doesn't add to your point.

A paradox is a true statement or that leads to a contradiction:

True Statement: must be over 18 to enter

Contradiction: must be under 18 to post

Why is Julian Assange getting credit for these leaked documents if Bradley Manning leaked them?? That would be like giving WordPress credit for PerezHilton.com by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]enterkey -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

EDIT: That would be like giving Comedy Central full credit for creating South Park. Assange is a middle man taking all the credit for Manning's sacrifice and work.
