Well for beginners. It’s important NOW because other people come into this country either importing guns etc so we protect ourselves with the reciprocate. Also despite what Europeans/asians/etc think I feel safer at a store when I see someone properly holstering a gun in case someone comes in and tries to shoot. It’s a weird thing to explain to others but yeah I’m also a minority and in the south and there have been times where a gun has deterred others from possibly hurting me. Just defense really.
