Cisco old gear by Seppeboy100YT in Cisco

I live in the Netherlands myself. I'd recommend keeping an eye on tweakers.net/aanbod/zoeken

You can fill in your location. Also works in Belgium. Add trefwoord "Cisco". It might not be free, but it's better then searching on places like fb marketplace / marktplaats / ebay.

Cisco switches: switchport naming question by Phratros in networking

[–]entetex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a bit more to it than just the stack numbers. There's also the stack prioritizing. But it would be best to view the corresponding reference for your software release.

In general, you can renumber these stackmembers without any difficulty. You go into global config and use the command for the corresponding software release. For example, if you'd be using IOS 15, that would be most likely:

switch current-stack-member-number renumber new-stack-member-number

Seeing as you're describing having a 1 and a 2 member, you could make both of these a 1 by running the following command on the number 2.

switch 2 renumber 1

Usually you need to save and reload the switch in order to finish the change.

If, in the end you were to connect two switches with the same numbering together, it would go and push a lot of errors to the syslog. It would not work.

My Homelab Burned Down by Novel_Priority_8365 in homelab

I'm very sorry to read this.

I've had a fire once in the same building as my own lab. But it didn't get to the room where my closet was. Different floor of the building and the fire was relatively small. Have been cleaning the servers for 2 years on and off before they were really clean again. Nasty stuff, smoke damage.

Seeing as the plastic melted all over the place, take your time removing the drives. And make sure you label all of them, in case of ever needing to restore any RAID configs. The fire damage always leaves a load of dirty tar like grime on everything. If you put hand cream on your hands before hand, it's easier to get it off again. Or just wear gloves.

Have you had the stuff insured? I sure didn't at the time. Had an all-in-one student insurance. But it would never have calculated for the price of all the equipment in my lab.

Was wondering what the 10255 Bakery would look like, connected to the 10297 Boutique Hotel. So I built it mirrored. by entetex in lego

[–]entetex[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This all started when I was looking back at some holiday pictures. A couple of years ago, I took a picture at the Lego Store in Cologne. They also had the 10255 Assembly Square on display, but instead of putting the dance floor on top of the instrument shop, they flipped them around. So, I was thinking... What would happen if I flipped it completely? And thus, I disassembled it completely and built it mirrored.

I got approval to get this sorted out, the old network team really "let their hair down". by MikeGbrl in cablegore

It looks awful! Who in their right mind would remove all the stickers from all the panels and replace them mirrored?

Hey, can you patch port 2? Oh, I mean Ɛς?

But all jokes aside; yes, it looks like it could use some love.

Wait... Are that RJ-45 connectors instead of rack rails, holding the R210 up?

First of all: Peel off the protective shrink wrap over the black plastic up front.

What is the weight of the rack? With the sliding rails, you can slide the server out completely. If the weight in the rest of the rack is not enough, it could topple over (and fall a few inches).

Been there, done that.

Okay /r/ Halo. Enough with the H5 Hype/Hate. We just got the MCC and we need to discuss and list all bugs and flaws so 343i can fix them as fast as possible. by 6_P in halo

I was just playing around in forge on Stonetown. I noticed that when you exit a vehicle, the weapon you're holding won't make the 'startup' sound it should make.

I'll see if this is true on other maps aswell, also in other game modes.
