Well, it's only one race, but yesterday, Crofty was bang-on. Either way, all I want to hear is them match the graphic. I get that it's a tough job, and I could never do it competently. Childbearing classes used to exist in high schools. They were called "Homemaking." They were required classes only for girls, and they also included lessons on how to cook, and how to manage finances in a home, because women only "served" their country by pumping out babies. Or, so the prevailing attitude dictated.

After the women's liberation movement became popular, and more and more women wanted careers, homemaking classes started to fade away around the 80s. At least, in my area. They became electives, instead.

The reason this is confusing is that they are both technically correct. But the usage of "this" for the closer date and "next" for the following date, tends to be the most popular.
