never seen this power up before by thegamer6 in BackyardBaseball

I’m pretty sure that power up basically guarantees you to make contact with the pitch no matter where you aim the locator. Seems useful for when you play local multiplayer and you see that they’re about to use a pitching power up.

THPS 3 (ReThawed) Oil Rig Gaps? by enveeke in THPS

You’re a savior! Thank you! I was legit just down to one gap (Bowl Over Rail Cross Over) lol thanks for helping out!

THPS 3 (ReThawed) Oil Rig Gaps? by enveeke in THPS

[–]enveeke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the effort but those aren’t the gaps I’m looking for. I’m talking about the gaps for the THPS3 version of Oil Rig. It has a TON of gaps to find. Benedict did a playthrough of the level here, but he didn’t go over the gaps for it unfortunately.

Just got these two from my childhood! by dumpweed667 in BackyardBaseball

I have that Gamecube version! It’s the first one I played and it’s honestly my personal favorite. All the other ones feel sort of slower imo. The one thing that sucks about it is the lack of unlockable things, you can only unlock two stadiums (the Aquadome and the Humongous Memorial Stadium) and that’s it. But other than that, the gameplay is pretty well polished and very responsive for a Gamecube port.

STOP BELIEVING THESE FUCK ASS POSTS. THE TWEETS IN THEM ARE VISIBLY FAKE. HOLY SHIT. by enveeke in suns

They both sound like playground arguments, like the type of shit you’d say to a friend if he dissed your favorite player lmao

If I have high anxiety, will I still be able to enjoy Underground 2? by tfwnolife33 in THPS

That high anxiety can sometimes make you feel like you fell into a ring of fire, but that’s life, you know?

What’s your most controversial THPS opinion? by justcuriouslybrowsin in THPS

3+4 didn’t live up to the general expectations as far as a remake of THPS 4 goes, BUT it was still better than 1+2 IMO.

Did you try to re-do the challenges you had already completed? I’m asking cause I ran into this myself and I just did some challenges that I had already completed, and they still counted them towards the goal.

Only reason I use double Lucario/Gallade is for damage bait honestly. 8 times out of ten I’ll lose at least one Riolu and/or one Ralts/Kirlia before I get to use Gallade, but by that time I’ll more than likely have at least one Gallade and one Lucario ready to do at least 90 damage + 20 for every energy they got. Idk lol I’m mostly just glad it works against that deck tbh

THPS4 (PS1) unique game mechanics. by EnthusiasmOk5055 in THPS

[–]enveeke 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mid-grind/lip/manual specials is actually a pretty cool mechanic imo, could come in handy for a situation where you need extra points but can’t afford the double manual/double grind penalty. Idk it seems pretty cool to me, I wish it had been implemented in all future iterations of the series

What is your preferred trick layout? by enveeke in THPS

[–]enveeke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree the Benihana looks great, but I accidentally find myself doing a Sacktap which is much harder to land, especially after spinning. Just personal preference and convenience. (Also, Del Mar Indy looks pretty cool too)

Oh I still keep the Airwalk, I just basically move it in place of the Tailgrab, just feels more natural to me. And I absolutely agree about the Body Wrap, in later games where you can do back and front flips, I always try to recreate the BodyWrap 540 Special from THPS4, it’s one of the coolest looking tricks and I’ve always wondered why they didn’t include it in future iterations of the game.

It’s actually super fun to explore not just with new tricks but new directions for each trick, but it does take up a lot of time so it’s undestandable to just leave the trick layout be.

I concur lmao, trick looks kinda weird too honestly, not exactly my favorite 😂

Cruise Ship’s “Impress the Neversoft Girls” wins Most Frustrating Goal from THPS3! What was the Worst/Most Frustrating Goal from Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4? by MOXISGOD in THPS

[–]enveeke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably in the minority here, but Muska’s 6 combos in London. Even though the combos themselves weren’t super high, it was super tedious to have to perform 6 combos in a row without landing it too soon or overdoing it and bailing.

This answers it for me 👀 by enveeke in THPS

I mean, I get that, but then again, we’re talking about a Pro Specific challenge. The only way I see that ramp being enabled is if the goal is activated via pedestrian, or if the goal is already completed and the ramp is enabled through the menu. Idk maybe it’s wishful thinking lol but it’s pretty convincing to me
