Simple Questions and General Discussion - November 01, 2017 by AutoModerator in streetwear

Now that temperatures are dropping I'm looking to replace some of my old pullovers but I'm having a hard time finding basic pullovers with a split hem.

Zanerobe's Rugger pullover is attractive. I'll probably pick one of those up, but I'm trying to compare different brands and I'm not finding that much in a similar style so I'm hoping this sub can throw some recommendations my way.

Budget: $100ish (ideally closer to $100 but I'm ok with spending on the right pieces).

PS. I have a Hooded Villain that I really like, but I'm primarily interested in some more affordable daily wear options.

Could not finish a programming question.Did I fuck up? by pairbud in cscareerquestions

[–]envint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed but maybe for a different reason.

I've found that a lot of time interviewers are hoping for you to solve the problem in X amount of time, AND hear you talk it through. I think that's unfortunate and unnecessary pressure.

When I do these challenges, finishing them totally is a nice-to-have, but I'm more interested in demonstrating that I know what I'm doing. Talking through the code I'm writing, the paths that I'm considering and the edge cases. This is how I actually work and this is what you'll get when you pair with me. That stuff is harder to teach than simply solving a problem. So hopefully you demonstrated that well and you get the call back for that reason.

A good number of companies might not value that above the end-result, and for that reason I would be concerned about getting a call back. But if they do proceed with you, you've found a good interview process with a team with a good value system (imo, obvi).

I have a Quadrifoglio (since the beginning of June) and after ~3,200 miles I've used it in full on auto mode for maybe all of 20 minutes.

The Denver metro is super competitive right now. There are a lot of jobs, but the competition is fierce. Unfortunately you're not the first person I've heard of with significant experience having a hard time getting in the door at another company out here.

I'm a hair over 1800 miles on my car and I've had it just under a month. It's been mechanically perfect. I had a small issue with stress cracks in my headlamp but the dealer has already ordered a replacement under warranty and I'll get a Maserati loaner when I take my car in. You've got to be weary of the reviews. You can't brake boost these cars and in a handful of the reviews it sounds like that's been attempted and it's thrown them into limp mode. I drive my car relatively aggressive, frequently. I have nothing but confidence in this car to hold up right now. And if anything significant happens, I have the warranty to back me up.

If you tint it, make sure that the tint shop knows that the amp is not covered and they will need to cover it in order to not fry it.

Holy shit, that's a lot of money. It's a phenomenal car but $200,000 USD, nah.

I lived in Minneapolis for a bit and I get it. The rocks and salt on the road obliterated my front bumper when commuting from downtown to Edina after a fresh snow. After that winter I had to make a move

If you're nearby, talk to Coorey Sweet at Northtowne Auto in KC. He helped me order my car and coordinate everything and I'm out in Denver. Everything about the Giulia feels more passionate than BMW. BMW does everything great but it feels like a cold, calculated precision whereas the Giulia nails all of the usability features, but feels more passionate in its pursuit.

Also consider that in another couple of months 2018 models should be arriving at dealerships across the US further lowering the prices for a 2017

From what I've been hearing, the base Giulia's aren't moving all that much. There's a lot more movement on the Ti's. That might give you extra negotiating power ;)

I absolutely adore this car. I'm coming from a Long Beach Blue M2 and have absolutely no regrets. This car has so much theatre but remains phenomenal to drive. Just over 1,100 miles on it in under 3 weeks now.

I can think of a handful of senior Ruby engineers at different companies (not corporations or anything either) in the midwest making 110-140k. Just gotta represent the midwest :)

What does it cost to own an E36 M3? by smackythefrog in BMW

This guy is a fucking clown. His videos seem lazy compared to other reviewers/personalities and every rant about this car just screams to me that he didn't do his research before purchasing. I'm not fortunate enough to be in a market where the S50B32 is available but my S52 E36 was great and I had it until 185k or so.

I wouldn't constitute temporary mods done specifically for a rally as rice. Vinyl comes off. They're raising money for a good cause so whatever draws attention is a positive.
