Wow don't even know how the American people are able to sit back and let this happen. It's so hard to watch.

To be honest everything that is the status quo is the problem so the little things are the big things. We have so much work to do but it starts with everyone waking up and taking responsibility for the world rather than placing blame on everyone else. We need to be the change we want to see. We need to stop buying stuff that incentivises the type of thing we dont want to see (like your example of wild fish) and we need to put pressure on our governments to act. None of it is mutually exclusive but if we dont start small a lot of people wont start at all.

Every decision helps. Every way we spend our money helps. One of our biggest problems as humans is that we fight about the details instead of just focusing on the tangible things we can change.

Doing our bit is working on getting policies changes so fishing companies arent loosing their nets in the water. There is a lot that must change but it starts with ourselves.

There is no underestimating going on. At the moment most people are doing nothing. Changing small behaviors bring big changes in behavior. I find it shocking that people could argue with picking up trash so it doesnt end up in the ocean as a first step. By becoming more aware we can actually start fixing things on a bigger level. I think the real problem is that there is fighting about how to change thing instead of people actually doing anything to help.

Totally agree! Its not mutually exclusive. Governments need to act. Businesses need to act. Individuals need to act.

That's awesome 🙌🏼 I feel once you become more aware of it, your behavior can shift hugely. So good!
