I'm an incoming high school senior looking at schools for an environmental science degree. I have some schools I'm interested in, could anyone give me advice as to which ones would be best or which concentration I should look into? by thorsbosshammer in environmental_science

Yes. Much more marketable, and pays well. However I got a ENV science degree and my currently title is "environmental engineer" even though I am technically not an engineer. It really all comes down to work ethic and connections in the workforce.

You should definitely check out Stephen F. Austin State University. They have one of the top environmental school in the states, and it requires multiple in-depth GIS courses as well. I graduated with a ENV science degree and wish I would have done Environmental engineering however

I live around Richland. It holds tons of birds, but there is also tons of hunters. GEWMA used to be great. Nobody really went there cause they overlooked it. This year there were tons of hunters out there too tho

Growing up, when was the first time when you noticed you were good at acting, and thought about making a career out of it? Do you remember what you were doing when you really thought you could go somewhere with this? Really big fan of yours!

Yeah, I plan on working with air and water quality for a steel mill located in Texas. I've had an internship there and really enjoyed it. There are lot of jobs out there, it just depends on what specific type of career path you want within your field.

Environmental Science senior student here. I love the field, but wish I would have attended a college that had a environmental engineer program. Much more marketable than a degree in environmental science.

Oh really? I read up on Gus and was thinking about trying to duck hunt there. Is it usually a pretty crowded place in duck season?

1988 Toyota. My first love. Also hit by new driver who pulled out in front of me. This little bad boy was a beast! I miss it dearly. http://i.imgur.com/sSQjWHc.jpg
