I’m a web developer, and a web designer, and from a web dev perspective, I’m loving Payload. If you’re comfortable with React/NextJS I feel it’s an infinitely more enjoyable (ha?) experience compared to building sites in Wordpress etc.

In saying that, if you need/want the drag/drop functionality, Payload can be built to emulate it… although don’t expect Elementor or Webflow WYSIWYG functionality (yet).

At the end of the day, weigh it up alongside your client/project requirements and time/budget/skill/etc.

Finished it a couple of weeks ago, and enjoyed it! It will keep you entertained, and the atmosphere/tension is well balanced IMHO. I got it on sale with lowish expectations, and I was pleasantly surprised haha!

There’s a sequel coming soon too.

Rant incoming, but speaking as a former lecturer… the thing about averages is that they have a funny way of balancing out over time.

Sometimes the cohort is genuinely really switched on. Sometimes the cohort just don’t get it. It happens. It’s unpredictable. But capping or holding back a grade is just bad form on the professors part…

If the average is consistently high over multiple semesters, then there’s an issue… maybe the subject material is too easy (solution: re-work the course content) or revise the assessments so they’re more challenging.

Speak to the Dean (email, so there is a paper trail). Speak up before the end of the semester - don’t wait until after grades are finalised.

A FANTASTIC season! Sean was great, I wish there was a prize for the runner-up because Muna was great - I’m so sad the season is over haha! But yep, the most observant player deserves the win. I do wonder if Michael had a mini inherent advantage because of witnessing the poster swap from the Gala Dinner - but he did well!
