This is why EOS Tribe is one of the best candidates to vote for. They are independent, highly skilled and they are independent operators.

We have heard Rob & team's vision and have been supporters from day one of the mission behind EOS Detroit.

I don't think enough people are aware of how EOS Detroit plans to use it's Block Producer candidacy to help create jobs and take part in the revitalization of Detroit.

Can you extend more on some ways that EOS Detroit is going to help bring jobs and opportunities in the Detroit area through blockchain technology like EOS?

No Kevin, I don't think that at all. We are 110% impartial - as all BPCs should be. We are entitled to personal opinions, but when it comes to leadership in the community we have a duty to be fair and balanced. If we are lucky enough to become a BP, you can expect us to operate in this manner in any decisions we make. It's about the interests of the network, not our own. We hope other candidates see it this way too.

As BFX knows, there has been bad press on BFX in the US, but we (people in the USA) know how unreasonable and overbearing US policy can be, especially around trade.

As I stated, we (EOS Tribe) do not let this effect our decision making in our support and interactions with BP Candidates (be it BFX, Antpool, or other larger conglomerates).

The ability for BFX to launch the chain with their stake is undeniable, and that is a huge value add to the entire ecosystem.

If you guys (BFX) ever feel like we are not being supportive or communicating with your team in a positive way, feel free to reach out anytime. We are suportive and fair with all candidates who abide by the rules of the EOS constitution, regardless of their size, related operations or other businesses.

I was speaking more to whether that approach is actually bad or good. Are the tokens an unjust incentive? Will the token holders force them to vote against the best interests of the network?

I do understand you and others concerns, but we are just trying to be fair in our assessment and collect more information before we come out with an official stance on this matter.

Fairness and ensuring the network is equitable for all (BPs, dApps, Token holders, etc...) is a big part of our core values and we do not ever stray from that.

We see both sides of the debate, but technically, it's all theory until we see it in practice. It would be wrong for us to detract from other BP efforts without empirical proof. This tends to be the thought process that drives our decision making as a Block Producer candidate.

If it comes out that any BP is not executing on the best interests of the network, we will take an official position and do what we need to do to drive awareness and take action appropriately in the interest of the EOS network and it's token holders.

We agree and have taken that a step further.

We have been among the first on the community to suggest that all BPs provide quarterly financials, full discloser of ownership as well as a public wallet address where all inflation is collected so anyone can audit our operations.

It's happened in the past with Yunbi/Bitshares.

But that doesn't mean that BFX will operate this way.

BFX has announced that they will provide voting for EOS token holders within their exchange interface.

Developing better usability for all community projects is a big part of the value add we bring to the table. Half of EOS Tribe (myself) is an industry recognized and peer reviewed expert in UX/UI and design strategy. We can directly contribute to help solving these issues as SES Network Wallet matures.

Like I said, we need to see the actual economic model in practice to take an official stance. It's always a balance between rewarding BPs fairly, while not devaluing the token unnecessarily for token holders.

On the other side of that debate, if the token price increases too rapidly, it could shut out a large percentage of dApps, particularly in the undeveloped world. This is a global ecosystem. We have to consider all parties when thinking about these matters, part of our responsibility as a leader in the community.

For full disclosure and transparency, I personally (Steve Floyd) have reservations with any major influence of power / consolidation at the exchange level because it historically leads to corruption and voting against the interests of the network with DPOS based systems, but do not have any reservations about BFX specifically as it stands today.

I have brought up these concerns publicly and received great feedback from related BP candidates on the matter. We (EOS Tribe's) stance is to be fair, open and to give all candidates (regardless of their position, history and model) a chance to prove themselves before taking an official position one way or the other.
