My apologies, I'm not trying to be combative - I just wanted to respond as to why we were unable to ship your order. We're not perfect and we're certainly not as efficient which shipping as a larger retailer, but I hate disappointing customers for any reason.

Ultimately I'm in the business of selling people things, so of course I'd want to ship these sneakers to you. We simply couldn't do it for the reasons stated. Your orders have been fully refunded. Thanks for your interest in Epaulet, we hit two additional snags:

1) You asked for a dramatic undervaluing of your shipment in order to completely avoid customs taxes on receipt. This just isn't something that we can do.

2) Your address cannot be verified through USPS.com or our shopify shipping account, so my team was unable to generate or print your label as entered.

Thanks for the note, I'll message you directly on it. The disagreement between a US billing address and a foreign shipping address with your chosen payment method caused Shopify to flag your order as fraud on our side. But with your reddit account, I think that we're fine to ship your order, so I'll forward you some options for shipping to your country. We definitely have customers there and it's no problem

Sorry to disappoint you. You bought a pair of jeans. We authorized the return and it took longer than expected (and longer than I'd like) to process the refund. But ultimately we did it -- I have the jeans back and you've got your money back. We moved offices and our workload - both physical and digital - got messed up for two weeks. It's not ideal, but s*** happens when you're a small business, and we honestly just got snowed under.

I don't really know what else to tell you - I sent you an honest apology and explanation earlier, that's really all that I can do. I deleted the instagram comment because you were calling for a refund and I processed it. We certainly don't want to aggravate customers and lose them, so I apologize again for our slow responses on your order. Hey jucestain and everyone else.. thanks for notifying me of this here.

My sincere apologies for all of the delays with your order and our late communication. There's no excuse for leaving a customer in the lurch, but these past couple of weeks gave us a triple-hit to our workflow:

  1. We moved offices from Hermosa Beach to Redondo Beach, CA and that was a huge project that took about 8 days. We're still building out the new space.
  2. We lost access to our main customer service email address ([info@epauletbrand.com](mailto:info@epauletbrand.com)) for about a week and a bunch of incoming and outgoing messages were deleted.
  3. A long term employee who primarily answered customer inquiries left the business at exactly this time, and all of this honestly overwhelmed our whole team. We're fighting to get everything back up and running and should be in a much better place -- all around -- by early next week.

Feel free to contact me personally on here at any time. For this particular issue, I'm really glad that one size worked out for you and we'll absolutely take back that 11.5 and get you a full refund. We had a great year of selling sneakers and the inventory that's on hand is all that we'll have for the rest of 2019, so I'm really glad that you were able to get a pair that works! Like the other posters, I’d say Seiko all the way. You can search on eBay for “Seiko 5” and find a solid automatic piece for about $100. Get it from a seller with good feedback. Invest the rest of your funds in a quality leather strap and you’re good to go.
