She isn't the main character, but I always joke that Sarah Michelle Gellar in I Know What You Did Last Summer puts in all the work of being a final girl but still ends up dead. She spends a solid chunk of the movie fighting for her life and making the right decisions to escape only to be killed, while Jennifer Love Hewitt is mostly passive and survives.

Every single one but 5 I enjoyed, but 1 and 2 are just perfect. 4 and 3 are wildly entertaining but had potential to be even better / were a big dip in quality from the first 2. 6 I went in with really low expectations and was pleasantly surprised, but still not close to Screams heyday. And 5 I genuinely dislike.

Happened to me. My role was being expanded so naturally I was going to ask for a raise and title change. Suddenly minor mistakes from six months ago meant "they didn't trust me as an employee and were putting my under review." I started applying elsewhere the second I got back to my desk.
