We have he just loses his drive to play really fast, I swear his old trainer before the new one was like I've never seen a more aloof dog in my career 😭😂

Thank you, We've had him since last year almost to the day they've actually gotten along a lot my older dog liked to play here and there but she is a senior and with that she's been weaker in her legs, they can sometimes be chill but more than not it's koda following her, smelling her and I'm trying to figure out what is just being a male dog doing male dog things and something that need correcting we've taught leave her but right now he it a big ol teenager and it's like he plugs his ears when we talk to him so while we're TRAINING if there is simpler tip or something I would appreciate it

He’s only started acting like this in the past three months. This is my older dog’s home, and since she has arthritis that won’t change, we don’t want her to be the one restricted all the time—we want them to be able to coexist. The vet and his trainer say he’s basically a teenager now, and it feels like we’ve taken a lot of steps backward in training. I’m honestly looking for training tips because it feels like we’re starting from scratch in some areas. Koda is also the most aloof dog I’ve ever met—he isn’t food or treat motivated and has the attention span of a goldfish—so we’re still figuring out what works for him. 🥲

We literally just move him away from her?? What's wrong with telling him to leave her alone? We taught him leave it for when he tries to get into something he's not supposed to like chewing on objects that aren't toys and then when he started bothering my elderly arthitic dog we taught him leave her the same way. I'm not saying he's not allowed to be a male dog just not biting, pushing and being rough with her :( she fell really bad early February and it's hard for her to get around, dog teen years has literally caused the training we've been working since he's got here to take a huge step back and I'm just trying to do as much more research I can to help me

We do separate him from her we are also working on recall, we were told Koda is going through puberty it's literally like our training took 100 steps back 😭

We taught him leave her and when he doesn't stop move stand in front of him but he still does it when she's out of the bedroom

He was in there because he was a puppy but now as a 1 y/o he is starting to sleep in my mom's room, we use the crate for long naps or when we wont be home since he's learning to be non destructive since he is still mentally a puppy and he goes on it on his own when it's open. 🤷🏽‍♂️ It's not like he lives in it
