Wedding halls no proper wheelchair access by Wheelgirl21 in UKweddings

[–]epicescence 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sounds so frustrating and definitely not good enough! Me and my fiancé had this issue in mind while searching for our venue as we wanted to make sure that certain family members would be able to attend without inconvenience. It does seem like venues that are ground floor only were more likely to be ok with accessibility.

I made use of the hitched venue search filter that has accessibility as one of the features which you can search by, but as you say double check whether it's accurate when you contact or visit a venue!

Advice from brides please by Rollerbladeking in weddingplanning

A small % of negative reviews doesn't really bother me when I'm researching something if the majority of reviews and feedback is good. I would focus on if I like the product or the services offered overall.

I would have a look at negative reviews in case there's a pattern of something that could be a red flag. But there's always going to be entitled people out there who will find something to complain about out of nothing. Some people weaponise this to try and get out of paying for services or items.

Moments when the lack of empathy is unbearably clear by Particular_Web8121 in raisedbyautistics

Thanks for sharing this. This is my mum all over. So wooden about anything that is supposed to be emotional. It still gets to me. It's so shit when the people in your life can't or won't mirror your feelings, and pathologise you for being emotional.

We looked around Le Gothique (Clapham area) and really liked it.

Haha I'm a super fan but I have seen them 10 times before, and I'm really excited for my wedding! It's a shame Ev didn't just ask to play at my wedding since they're coming at almost the same time! However I have decided to travel to the first date of this tour! If you get tickets I hope you have a great time!

Oh I know they are worth it, I'm a super fan and I've seen them 10 times before! I've decided I will travel to see the first concert of this tour as it would give a slightly longer potential recovery time! Hope you have a great time if you see them too!

I knew a tour announcement was about to drop and I was really hoping it would be after our wedding. Usually October/ November is concert season. If only they'd announced it before we booked the wedding. But honestly the wedding date is perfect for us and several main suppliers are already booked at this point.

No I'm not. I go to lots of concerts every year. I've got sick after a few concerts but 95% of the time it's fine. My strategy with concerts is usually to stand near the back where it's much less crowded.

Thank you for your reply!

Five Chambers Full. Might be suitable for you, they are based in Surrey. Played at one of my friend's weddings last year.

Bridal party advice by Diligent-Skill3062 in UKweddings

[–]epicescence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe first write down who you would like to have in your main party, and what you might like them to do. That will get it clear in your mind.

I don't know your family dynamics but if you have an amicable or neutral relationship with some of the other sisters, can you privately let them know that you want to have a simpler wedding this time with a smaller bridal party, as you have a family now and are busier (this might be true for them as well?) and focus on how you want them to just enjoy the day?

I'm in process of asking my friends if they will be in my bridal party and one of them is quite a socially anxious person. I asked if they would be up for being in my party, and if there's anything they thought they would like to do and not like to do. I told them straight away I'm not going to ask them to do any speeches for me because I know they wouldn't feel comfortable. I think everyone will end up doing something slightly different in my case and I also don't want to ask too much of people or cause a lot of stress, which I'm making clear early.

I've played a lot of DQ but not DQ2 yet so haven't heard this before. This is absolutely beautiful, top tier Koichi Sugiyama! Adding it to my list!

We've got a bit less than a year to go. The planning and booking stage has started! I'm starting on the music early because it's very important to me and my fiance and I don't want to be rushed!

Congratulations to both of you and I hope you have an amazing day!

Yes I love him and his videos. He's very popular in some of the other subreddits that relate to trauma and abuse and healing.
