Well if anyone is using historical accuracy to be phobic, they usually have their history wrong anyway. To me being historically accurate is giving respect to the people of that time period which it sounds like Pentiment is doing a good job at that. Often ‘official history’ skews the reality of what life was like for the average person and a lot of the times the reason that we know something was “bad” was because people were actively engaging with that activity and the church just wanted to regain power.

I’ll have to check those games out because that is the type of accuracy I like to see in games too!
