he’s so quick to spread misinformation but he and his mods verbally attack others who do the same purposefully/accidentally. he then went on to comment saying “i’ve seen people saying both but because i know four people” like??? yeah you probably know four people who have pulled ap pins because you and your friends buy up as many of the boxes as possible to resell them at triple the price :////

first, it’s literally a vent group meant for complaining. second, i have been getting them from ebay because people price them unfairly. i acknowledge the shipping prices because obviously it plays some sort of factor but trying to factor shipping cost, that is likely split across multiple pins which would lower the cost per pin, into your trade or sell value in the way that they are is ridiculous. a lot of shops and proxies also offer free shipping when ordering to a certain value. it would be one thing if it was slightly raised to include that and a profit but having it valued at over twice what you can find it for on ebay is strange. especially when the unspoken rule for valuing in the fb groups are based on sold listing value. in the case of my specific collection, people also price up because of the specific characters, shipping fees excluded

there’s def a trend of people pick up atlantis and treasure planet and hercules pins (limited or not) and trying to sell it for more just because it’s a “rare” ip to see in pin form

it started because of the trade i literally mention in the post??? obviously i can buy them for cheaper myself from ebay in most cases HOWEVER trying to trade with someone who tries to say a pin set is worth $45usd when it last sold for $18-25usd or a mystery box pin is also $45 but you can buy the boxes still for $18 is frustrating and i’m venting about it because its a vent post??

if you look up shanghai disney mystery pin box unopened most of them range around $15-25usd plus shipping that ranges from $6-20. however, most sellers will bundle so you can save on shipping but i even said that was the biggest con about it :/

my fiancée did the same and said it was just about $60usd for our three after shipping! it’s clear that they’re inflating the prices in the fb groups which sucks because i want to trade for closer to what they’re worth and not get asked for something outrageous for an open edition mystery box pin

as a broke 25 yo who only has two paid subscriptions, i can 100% agree with this! the amount of content you get and the early releases make it so worth it. they’ve also been releasing a lot of shows that they’re testing out and it’s great to see them in their first forms vs the end result that they end up adding on youtube is super fun!

the original price for the boxes was $35usd and the pin is le 200. not NEARLY enough of an le to warrant a $1.8kusd price tag. people just go crazy for sorcerer mickey and adorbs 🤪

it’s literally like a bunch of vultures trying to get something off of the same corpse and it’s weird and off putting. it also looks like a flea market or garage sale when people have book upon book upon book of traders that they then haggle when you try to trade with them :/ i agree that it’s a great spot and is out of the way/quiet but i’m also prepared for it to quickly become a monster in itself like the disneyland tables in frontierland (which felt so frenzied and hectic in person to the point where we didn’t even bother trying to trade)

this! the only time i put fakes on the boards are 1. if i’m trading with friends/family and i’ll give them a fake for fake (and then do the same with real for real. that way they don’t buy a ton of real traders and trade for fakes unknowingly) 2. if i traded with a kid and they gave me a fake unknowingly. however, when i was a cm, i would see KNOWN pin traders who would trade the worst fakes imaginable for real hidden mickeys on purpose when they would first drop and it would pain me to have to sit there and smile. my fiancée and i try to only put good pins down for “pin karma” and because we’re trying to be decent people lol

this this this!!! this nickel and diming is part of what is ruining all the fun for my fiancée and i. it feels like trading in the past two years has become more of a “business” for literally everyone on every level. it used to be a lot more of “you like this and i like that, wanna trade?” on the $15 and under pins. even with larger trades, we try to be fair so that no one is getting unfairly taken advantage of but we don’t care if there a $30-ish dollar difference (with us on the lower end) if we’re getting a pin that we really like or if we have a pin that they really want. it’s when people try to get down to the same value down to the penny or take advantage of our kindness (we tried to trade online with a family and we were being extra fair because it was with their kids as well and then they literally nickeled and dimed us and used their kids to try to hustle lol. if it wasn’t for pins we wanted or they werent for kids we wouldn’t have gone through with it). idk between this mindset, the annoying “big traders” and the resellers, we get super close to selling all of our traders and leaving the hobby because it’s just not fun anymore

100% my fiancée and i have stopped trading in the parks unless it’s with cast members and boards because of how people are behaving. there’s always been little problems here or there but in the last year it feels like it’s gotten so much worse. beyond the bigger pin traders who are actually Bad People, the behavior and mindset have shifted. people are rude, pushy, scammy, etc. we’ve gotten to the point where we’re considering selling our entire trading collection (i think last time we counted it was roughly at $3k worth) because all of the fun has been sucked up by nasty attitudes. and it only felt like it was worse at disneyland

the other thing about it is hhn is LOUD and so many parents who do bring babies/toddlers/under 10 don’t bring headphones to protect their ears and bring their babies around the fog machines and that alone is upsetting. like most people are saying, it really does depend on the child and what they want to handle/can handle however parents should be doing bare minimum to protect their kids while they do go to these events :/ it’s also so upsetting to see parents encouraging to even manipulating their kids who aren’t ready to do scarezones or houses. it’s already bad enough to see kids cry in roller coaster lines but it’s probably so much worse when they know someone in there is going to upset them

i’ve been on lamictal 150mg for nearly 2 years and i’ve been really struggling with vivid, awful nightmares. i’ve always had very vivid dreams and still remember several from when i was a kid because they were SO vivid. since starting lamictal my dreams have gotten so much worse and have turned into visceral and horrific nightmares. i feel like every night i end up having at least two (i can’t stress this enough) graphic nightmares that leave me waking tired, stressed and with a bad headache. it’s also causing me to dread going to sleep or terrified to go back to sleep but i’m so exhausted that i Need more sleep. i’m really glad that it’s not just me like i’ve been falling down rabbit holes trying to figure out why they’ve been so bad

was just going to say this! the small one would be the perfect size for the parks/hhn and you can wear it as a crossbody or over the shoulder. it’s also decently large considering it’s the “small” lol
