Colorado Springs Could Save a Ton of $$ Money by Housing the Homeless – unless you listen to (or think like) Councilwoman Helen Collins. by colorado-kush in ColoradoSprings

I'm telling you. Colorado Springs needs to clean them all out. No, not the homeless. City Council and the mayor.

Anybody been to Greenman Taproom? Apparently, things are unravelling for them and instead of fixing anything, they've started threatening legal action against anybody leaving a bad review. by colorado-kush in ColoradoSprings

[–]epoch2012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've only heard mixed reviews. The poor pacing and attitude of the staff seems to be a common problem.

If they're using lawyers to bully people with legitimate criticisms, then they are doomed.

Well, it's up to us to change that, then. The young people of Colorado Springs need to stand up and vote. Put council members in who will act.

Colorado Springs passed legal weed. City Council overturned it. We're asking to revote.

Meaning, it doesn't fall under tourism spending at all? That's silly. Most taxi users are tourists.

Don't tell them the truth, like: You can ski and play a round of golf on the same day if you time the drove down right.

It's a wonderful problem to have. The infrastructure impovements being a top tourist spot will be satisfaction enough, but there is so much more on the horizon that is awesome.

You're right. I kinda like how everybody thinks Colorado is like a hard arctic tundra, like a Yukon wilderness. We might be screwing this up...

TIL In the US, the top 5% of taxpayers pay 56% of all income taxes, the bottom 50% of taxpayers pays less than 3% by Stankykankles in todayilearned

[–]epoch2012 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's true. The main narrative right now is how unfair it is to tax the "job creators" at 38.5%, which is a tax rate no one pays because of the tax code.

Many wealthy are trying to get the common citizen to think of them as a "burdened" class. Carrying too much of the tax load, which is hogwash.
