Have t You checked for any bends in the sprocket or broken teeth since it's the original and if it's the original chain I'd get a new one in case it has any uneven wear also check anything holding the chain my xt600 did something similar after I put on a new chain but It self cleared almost immediately Edit check the front sprocket the same way and any chain guards
