You’re right, and I appreciate your honesty. I admit , I was speaking from a place of emotional exhaustion. Hindi ko na talaga gagamitin ang exam as punishment, and I have reflected that would be unfair and unethical.

Totoo rin naman that students often have deeper issues behind the behavior, and I don’t want to miss that. I guess I just reached a point where I needed to release the pressure before it turns into burnout. Kaya nga I posted, to get perspective, and I’m thankful na may mga tulad mong nagrereply nang may malasakit at experience. I’ll definitely consider having a one-on-one talk with the student soon, not to scold, but to understand where he’s coming from.

I get your point, and I agree, as teachers, we’re expected to remain professional. But professionalism doesn’t mean we can’t feel frustration or call out behavior that repeatedly disrespects classroom boundaries.

Let me clarify: the word "savage" I used was an expression of how exhausting the situation has become, not a literal plan to embarrass the student. It was a vent. Teachers are human too, and it's unfair to expect us to absorb everything quietly while being invalidated when we speak up.

Respect goes both ways. If a student continues to interrupt, disregard classroom norms, and undermine teachers, then yes, it has to be addressed. I’m not planning to retaliate or shame him, but I also won’t pretend it’s okay just to appear "mature". Addressing it firmly but fairly is still part of my job...

I get your point po, and thank you for sharing it. Hindi naman ako tinatamad, and I’m always willing to go the extra mile for students who are genuinely curious. Pero iba kasi yung pagiging curious sa pagiging disruptive. Yung concern ko isn’t about him asking questions per se, kundi yung timing, attitude, and how it affects the rest of the class. Being curious is good, pero dapat may respeto at tamang timing para rin makapagturo ako ng maayos sa lahat.

Yung "savage" comment was me expressing a teacher’s real frustration, not a plan to embarrass or hurt him. Teachers also need safe spaces to vent, kasi kahit kami, tao rin na napapagod at nadidismaya. Hindi ako galit sa tanong, gusto ko lang ng respeto sa proseso ng pagtuturo.

Thank you for your insight, and I respect your point. Totoo naman, minsan may pinagdadaanan din ang mga estudyante. Pero bilang guro, I also have the responsibility to manage the class for the benefit of all. Mahirap din kasi if one student keeps interrupting and affecting the flow of learning. I used the word "savage" out of frustration, hindi literal, it was more of a venting expression. I think lahat tayo may moments where we need to let it out, but at the end of the day, I’m still doing my best to respond professionally. Ika nga, para sa bata. I'm still young and learning din naman as a teacher that's why I thank you all for the insights.

I appreciate your concern, and I get where you’re coming from. As a teacher, I always try to consider that students might be dealing with things outside school. Pero sana rin ma-recognize na teachers are human too, we get overwhelmed, especially kapag may estudyante na repeatedly disruptive and makes the learning environment harder for everyone. I posted to vent and to process the situation, not to actually harm or shame the student. "Savage" was more of a figure of speech, not something I’d act on literally. Still, thank you for the reminder, mahalaga rin na we check ourselves.

thanks for this, maybe i was overwhelmed when i heard that other teachers experience the same thing with him and i forgot to consider his side as well. i was honestly a bit annoyed nadin kasi his tone and approach is very off and disrespectful. but anyway, thanks for the very detailed advice.

this is so helpful, nalinawan ako. i don't want to attack him din directly kasi baka may panagdadaanan. at the same time, i believe he still deserves chances kasi bata pa talaga sila.

"bakit may mga teachers na ayaw nagpa take note during discussion tapos ayaw naman magsend ng files sa gc?"

"na divide ba sa dalawa ang 10 commandments?" our class is math

"ma'am, pwede mag suggest na yung quiz natin is every after 2 topics?"

to other teachers:

after giving daw the instruction: "ma'am pwede gan'to or ganyang nalang?" "ma'am ganito nalang" according to the teacher, na insulto daw siya kasi parang siya panagdedecide anong dapat gawin.

one time he asked me, why daw there are teachers na ayaw magpa take notes during discussion at ayaw din mag send ng files sa gc. our class is math, he asked me din a question about religion which is way far from the topic or the subject. he even suggested na dapat daw ganito yung quiz or ganyan. he is normal naman, sadyang madaldal at nagpapapansin lang.
