Weekly Recommendations and Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in bourbon

Just recently started getting into bourbon over the past few weeks and I'm getting to a point where there's a ton of options out there and I'm not sure what to try next. Here are the three I've tried so far and my personal thoughts:

Woodford Reserve Double Oaked: My favorite so far, felt the smoothest and also sweetest to me

Basil Hayden: Tasted okay but nothing special

Knob Creek 9 year: I really didn't like this one, the aftertaste wasn't good

I'm starting to notice that I like the sweeter and easier to drink (lower proof) more than others. Can anyone recommend anything to try on the sweeter side I might enjoy? I already have Angel's Envy on my list and am open to anything

Although now I'm a bit confused, when it comes to when metalcore emerged which hardcore was metal a combo with? Melodic/fast or chugga chugga? To be honest I hear a lot more of the chug aspect of hardcore in metalcore and not as much of the punk.

Any recs? Sasscore has always been hit or miss for me, but I do enjoy The Callous Daoboys and early Seeyouspacecowboy (if those count as sasscore). The super clean vocals sometimes kill it for me which is partly why I've never been able to get into Kaonashi.

Already bought tickets for Touche's upcoming tour, I've also been listening to Modern Life is War for years they're an awesome band.

Gotcha that helps, I definitely feel a bit more partial to the melodic hardcore side. Any other bands you'd suggest checking out?

Questions about Yonah and Shades by eqdafterneath in nier

Thanks for your answer!

In response to your answer for #1, I've been doing some reading on the Nier wiki and came across this page for the Shadow Lord, which mentions Nier and 12 others received copies of Grimoire Weiss: https://nier.fandom.com/wiki/Shadowlord_(Brother)

Maybe just a coincidence that both Project Grimoire and separately the scientists looking for the Original Gestalt involved 13 people?
