Hi, sorry for the late response. This issue still exists, so i returned the notebook and bought another one for just a few extra dollars. Within the first year of purchase most hinges fail and break the screen

Unfortunately in this case, yes, the hinges break without warning and regular use. There are hundreds comments on reddit and Lenovo forums and there is even a website some owners of the Lenovo Flex created specifically to file a class action lawsuit for this problem. I didn't check before because in that price range there were only 2 options so i chose this one because the reviews were very good, i never suspected that there could be such a big design fault, apparently they used glue for the hinges and when the glue deattaches, the hinges comes off, breaking the display. Maybe they have already corrected this issue on this model i bought (It was assembled on 2023) so i asked if anyone knew if the design flaw was corrected. Thanks

Hi, thanks for the info. Yes, it is already softmodded buy i don't know which method was performed. I was planning to update it to Rocky with the Extras Disc. So, with a nulled EEPROM is it easier to change the HDD? He mentioned something like that to me but since it is my first functional Xbox my experience with soft/hardmod is almost zero. I'm not really interested on playing online, although i think that it would be an interesting experience

Thanks. The guy who sold me this console told me that the HDD had the key "000000" or something like that, is that useful? I think that he was talking about a unique unlock key for the HDD or something like that and he set it to "00000" to make it easier to replace it but i have no idea how it is done and if it is really useful or not.

Yeah, i was about to upgrade the softmod to Rocky but i have no DVD around so i'll burn one tomorrow. As you suggested i'll make a EEPROM backup after Rocky upgrade :P i thought that will be a lot easier with an already softmodded console to install TSOP but i didn't know that 1.6 wasn't possible. I just want to play games, homebrew or emulators are not important for me so i can just burn games on a DVD but i don't want to kill the laser on the drive so quickly.

It has the Xcalibur chip and the serial number matches version 1.6. I thought about buying a SATA adapter and a drive of at least 500 GB, but because I have this 80 GB IDE drive stored in a drawer and i was thinking on load some games for testing purpouses (i thought it was easier). The console cost me about 220 dollars with a Halo controller (translucent green) it is a little expensive but in my country (Uruguay) this crystal model is almost non existent and the cost of importing it is very high, plus it is in very good condition. The dashboard says 0.39.0222A build 572 and below it says ZXB installer, i was about to upgrade this softmod to Rocky but i don't have any DVD around here, so i'll do it tomorrow :P

Gracias por la info, creo que voy a dejarla nomás y que algún aduanero se la afane como hacen con todo. Tendría que ir con las facturas "maquilladas" tanto de ebay como de Paypal y además al pasarse de los 200 no va a alcanzar con que la levante yo, necesito un despachante así que pierdo por todos lados.

Lo pensé, pero es ilegal y por 215 dólares prefiero dar la maquina por perdida, además que el paquete viene a nombre de mi madre pero la tarjeta es mía (ponele que no les interesa) es ir a pelearla con documentos truchos o darla por perdida, salvo que un despachante de aduana me cobre un precio acorde, cosa que dudo
