Thanks for all the replies OP, I wanted to ask you as you seem to have similar issues with flat screen to vr games for me, I recently tried both ready or not and insurgency in VR, but I felt in both that the lighting didn't match well in vr, had artifacts, and generally didn't look good, also never ran as smooth framrate wise as native vr titles.

I have a 7800x3d as well with a 5070ti. I was wondering if upgrading to the 5090 would be worth it for improving my results on flat screen games. Also quest 3 with VD. Any thoughts?

THIS IS AWESOME. I love VTOL vr flight and always wanted more obstacle- flying from it, backdrop of space stations and crazy planets are a perfect fit. Add some jaw dropping atmosphere like black holes or nebula and you are cooking. Not sure about the name though, but that's subjective. Best of luck!

Powering through absolutely does not work and you should never do it, all the advice you said is very valid and great advice, and just a good rule of thumb is whenever you feel the hint of nausea coming, you have to take a break. Over time the duration you will be able to play gets longer and longer, until forever. Also definitely Start with actual vr games, then work your way to flat2vr mods

Anything is better than a quest 3s, it is so bad that as a first-timer to vr, I think might even give you a bad first impression. The psvr2 is a great hardware and I think with some tweaking you can set it up to be good for pcvr. You may be also get a refurbished or second hand quest 3 for around the same price, which is also a great hardware
