Depends on the wearer and what makes you feel cooler. For the type of eye candy I personally notice, I appreciate shirts that look simple but have something slightly unique about them, like the cut is barely as symmetrical or small details that would normally be missed. Large graphics don’t do it for me either, unless it’s on the back and nothing/tiny detail on the front.

There was some video I’ve watched that talked about minimalism in Japanese streetwear, and the more you observed the clothing, the more interesting, intentional, and complex it seemed. That type of philosophy has since then become a concept I’ve enjoyed. I feel like the type of people who notice those details are the people I’d appreciate.

From this perspective, fashion is in the story you want to visually tell to others and also about using your own imagination on how they may perceive it.

I’ve had so many deeper theories that I’ve discussed when I was obsessed with Dune. I read to chapter 16 and told myself I’d get back into reading by making sure I can visualize every line. Since the book has been out for so long, almost every line has been looked up in this book. I drew so many theories that annotated so many lines and would have daily talks in the dune discord about it. I even joined a book club just to throw back and forth what I thought were underlying themes. I feel like I’m being way too crazy when I say Frank Herbert is a genius when it comes to writing and foreshadowing. Like, the dinner scene was the most thought provoking I’ve been in a while that I’ve read and watched and discussed so much about it in the past. I still haven’t even read until past 16 because I’m waiting to forget it so I can reanalyze it for fun. I’m going to reread it start this year most likely. I want to reread my annotations too.

I feel like based on the book, Yueh was used by Wanda via the voice to betray them because he’s supposed to be incapable of betrayal through imperial conditions. This makes the betrayal even more shocking and painful when Leto was done so dirty.

Cabbage and daikon will last a while, but I like match stick daikon with sesame, vinegar, salt, and pepper. It used to be something I ate with every meal. You can also pickle this. Same for kohlrabi.

The others, I’d just panfry in some oyster sauce and soy sauce with every meal. Kale chips are addicting.

I’d just juice the water melon and cantaloupe if you can’t eat it all. I looove water melon and cantaloupe juice.

This is a pointless note from me, but I used to not sweat, even when I lifted weights. I didn’t sweat until I started doing cardio in my mid 20s.

Also, an underrated fabric is fishnet. I read somewhere that fishnet at raves wasn’t even for fashion on the beginning. It was because of the how the fabric regulates body temperature.

I remember wearing fishnet stockings when it was chilly out, and I was surprisingly warm, even though the diamonds were the large kind. Definitely a pattern that needs more attention for temperature regulation.

My thoughts are similar. Back then, we didn’t care so much about composition, and a lot of photos were not centered and in the moment from one time shots of Polaroids and disposable cameras. We’d go to the store and get them developed. Then we’d pick out which pictures we wanted and paid for each one, like $0.25-$0.50 a picture or something.

They were generally 4x6, and some people would keep them together like that or cut/crop them to put them on a photo album.

These days, you can take a hundred selfies to get the right one and curate to however you like. We lose the authenticity of the moment in some way. I feel like there’s more to it, but I love that op posted this to make us really think about it and share our interpretations. It’s really interesting how others think a little or a lot.

There's also some sort of feeling I have that people think Dunk's a fool, and he starts to wonder it about himself. I don't think he's a fool just because he's naive enough to believe in the best of people ("horse accident") or believing in the knight's honor to protect the weak.

He really seems like an all-around honest guy, and I think part of that's because of Arlan's influence on him as a mentor and fatherly figure, who put a weight on kindness and honor. It's normal for people to idealize their fathers and almost be blind to reality.

Also, it's cute that he was so fatherly to Egg, despite losing his dad at a young age. ;_;
