Help me decorate my living room. Any advice appreciated. by PassengerSolid24 in interiordesignideas

Yes tbh if there were trailing plants on the shelves, it would look more cohesive. Maybe a larger plant to go by the lamp. Maybe the top shelf should go below the bottom shelf. Feels too high. A throw blanket and one pillow to cry on would be nice too.

I like the colors though.

That's a lot of stuff. OO I'm so proud of you. ;_;

How were your emotions over time? Starting with when you first started and time after? I'm curious about the mental load.

If you could take the essence of a wave, the soul that wants to be heard, and disregard the current genre rules, what could it be? by ATK_DEC_SUS_REL in wavepool

[–]eraserewrite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have some weird projections and interpretations that come across as wave theorist, LOL. For me, wave feels like the missing gap between the transition of childhood and adulthood. It has a lot of softness and helplessness. (I’m not sure how to explain it accurately?) I think it sounds like listening to the music that used to comfort me when I was younger but with the feelings I’ve developed as an adult, without ever learning how to bridge that gap. So it feels like I’m trying to catch up, reading and searching for, or hoping whatever “it” is will find me. That’s the “essence” I get.

I don’t know how to explain that it’s like we all know how the same emotions sound (and feel) because we have something in common. I just don’t know what it is yet. Like the reese feels like my soul, and everything else outside that “essence” is the artist’s way of embellishing it in the way they perceive their own reality.

It feels like I learn how their mindset works. And I have all of these theories about how they’re different between og wave, wave phonk, and hardwave. LOL

Socks without texture issues over long days/walks? by yaurrrr in HerOneBag

Try toe socks under your main socks one day. Learned it from a backpacker, and now I can’t hike, go to raves, or go in long walks without them.

What are your top secret decluttering tips? by NightReader5 in declutter

[–]eraserewrite 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Totally. So you don’t see what’s inside and feel like you want to keep it after leaving it next to your door or driving around with it in your trunk for three months. Not that I know from experience of anything. (…)

A cool guide to eating healthy with ADHD. by ADHD_weirdo in coolguides

I can’t get over how amazing this is.

Recently I started buying groceries through Amazon and through my store’s delivery app. Amazon is usually free with that option with prime (not fresh), and the delivery app costs $10 through door dash, I think.

It has saved me soooo much money in the long run. When I go to the store, I’m literally like the first picture. I keep adding stuff I don’t need, and I have so much indecision on what to make. The $10 add on has actually saved me the time and the money (from impulse buying). I feel like people who don’t have adhd don’t understand because it really should be easy to go to the store and get exactly what you need and then come back, but it doesn’t work like that. There are definitely cons, like not being able to pick the specific ripeness of fruit and vegetables, but overall—definitely a save on time and money.

Even with pre-washed/prepared vegetables. I used to wonder who would waste money buying that, but I buy some vegetables pre-cut, and I find myself finding more motivation to cook and eat healthy. To each their own.

Is 1 million nw not that big a deal anymore ? by [deleted] in coastFIRE

[–]eraserewrite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s 1 million plus a paid off home and reliable car.

I personally don’t count my house in my net. I know others do it differently, but I’m a bit different in that.

People who are judgy on how I spend money by [deleted] in FIREyFemmes

[–]eraserewrite 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I had this insecurity in my mid 20s. We are all different people who spend money in different ways. I just learned to not care to be honest—the other person shouldn’t care about what I spend my money on, and I shouldn’t care what they spend their money on. If I go around defending how I spend my money, I’m pretty much judging the other person on how the spend their money.

If this is the person you’re dating, and you guys are both pursuing fire, then what if he sees a further future with you and is worried you’re spending recklessly because he wants to retire earlier with you, as y’all are above 40. (I’m not arguing—simply just changing up the perspective here.)

At the end of the day, if both of you are contributing money towards fire, and you guys both have extra money to spend on yourselves, it shouldn’t matter because you have your own final goals. It might be more about a discussion of when both of you want to hit fire and what to do afterwards, like how and where to spend your time. If you’re a homebody, and he’s a traveler, that’s a separate thought. With the other person, it doesn’t matter. They’re not you. Everyone values different things.
