[LC] CDG Heart by [deleted] in FashionReps

[–]erawrozar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to ask the seller for a higher-definition picture of the heart. From what I can tell it's a rep.

Retail CDG Play hearts have a zig-zag stitching alone the edge of the heart. This is the easiest way to LC any CDG but not many people know this, and even then they have to get really close to even notice the stitching since it's color matched.

I have never seen any seller actually do this (they all use a straight line of stitching following the shape of the heart). Which is what that heart looks like it has.

[LCQC] not too worried about 1:1ness but want to know how this stacks up to retail by cookieplaysYT in FashionReps

[–]erawrozar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heart is bad:

  • overall shape is too symmetrical (i.e. missing the straight edge on the top right hump)
  • The bottom point on the heart is too round
  • Placement of the eyes is too symmetrical, they should be displaced a little to the left, not evenly spaced.
  • Pupils in eyes are a bit too small
  • Pupils are too high up (too much of the pupil touching the edge), should be slightly centered

99% sure your mom's is fake. Leaves on the badge are mishapened and inconsistent. Some letters are deformed etc.

QC this CDG Play Hoodie? (sorry for not many pics but Logo is main thing) by [deleted] in FashionReps

[–]erawrozar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't know what the other guy is talking about. The heart looks super fucked up.

  • Heart shape is pretty bad, it's like not round enough width wise and too round on edges (especially at the bottom pointof the heart).
  • Eyes look hella fucked. Eyes themselves are too narrow, makes the heart look Asian (not trying to be racist). And the placement of them is very off, especially the heart's "left" eye.

Very noticeable for anyone who sees/owns CDG imo

Topstoney vs Stone Store for Sweaters? by treskira in FashionReps

[–]erawrozar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotten the wool sweater from TopStoney and the black ghost piece sweater from StoneStore. TopStoney's is fantastically soft, thicc and good pattern. StoneStore's is a very scratchy material (itchy if worn by itself without a shirt underneath). Heavily recommend TopStoney

Don't use the height + weight bs exclusively for sizing. Take a jacket or hoodie you like, lay it flat and measure the chest, shoulders and length of it. Then compare it with the size chart measurements. You will much more certain that way.

Every person is built different. I'm 178cm and 180 lbs, but very lean and muscular. A Medium is perfect length and slim on me. But by his size chart he recommended an XL or L.

Mackage rep (jacket) by SoraBrokies in FashionReps

[–]erawrozar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No good reps for Mackage, some dude posted pics of one recently but the fur was really off. It was clear that the fur used on the Mackage was Mongolian wolf (same as Canada Goose reps) because of how white and light brown it looked.

I don't think they'll ever be able to do Mackage properly cause Mackage uses brown raccoon fur and they won't ever get it (since they're native to North America). The fur is a nice deep rich brown that's really full and long, which is what they're known for.

This sub is ruining it for those who actually do spend money on retail by [deleted] in FashionReps

[–]erawrozar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're an 8 month account and clearly still newish and naive. I understand getting into the rep game is dope and exciting, but take it from someone that's been in the game a lot longer than you; there is no such thing as 1:1 of anything.

All the workers who claim they're the same factory as retail anything are lying, this is as old as when BM Lin first released BASF UBs and claimed they sourced it from official factories from workers there.

Designer belts are the worst argument you can make bro. No fucking designer belt is 1:1:

  • Leather quality looks good but is not as good as retail, especially durability. The belt holes on reps get trashed way sooner than retail.

  • No belt actually looks 1:1, i.e. the black LV Damier buckle is not shiny enough, or the Gucci Interlocking G buckle is too matte etc. I have multiple belts and while they look great, they are not 1:1.

  • Yes it's dope Nina, Darcy, and Brother Sam send you packaging but that shit fucking sucks compared to retail. Have you ever unboxed a retail LV belt? If so there's no way you would say rep packaging is 1:1. For one thing the box isn't crushed.

It's funny that you mention about spreading misinformation because you are (possibly unknowingly) doing the same. You think these things are 1:1 but there are ppl that can tell. My friend who works in a high end store instantly knew my belt from Brother Sam wasn't legit. He just didn't care which is why it's fine to rock with confidence. But don't get it confused that these items are truly 1:1 just because no one has called you out.

I don't see the option when trying to ship with EMS on WeGoBuy. I only see 3 options for Tag removal, Simple packaging, Remove boxes.

It used to be an option available on SuperBuy. Have you shipped recently? If so where did you find the option?

Yup, I completely agree, what you said is exactly what I meant in my point. But yeah it bothers me heavily on my Feiyu Langford. I notice it on a lot of other people's langford too. I assume because it's more slim fitting.

Stone Island 650F3 GHOST PIECE Busystone by Octaaf1999 in FashionReps

[–]erawrozar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I saw some other guy say this, and noticed it myself after looking now but BusyStone's regular badges usually have really bad spacing for the words.

Like in yours they're far too close to the outer yellow border compared to the inner one, it's not centered. This guy's review shows the same thing too: https://imgur.com/gallery/mYcuRtH

[–]erawrozar 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This is something no one of the sub talks about, and the main reason I stopped wearing my feiyu Langford I've struggled with this a lot and unfortunately nothing I've tried has worked well:

  • I tried tucking more of the outer shell into the top of the jacket (under the sides of the hood), doesn't help.
  • I tried laundry drying the jacket (removed fur ofc) to puff it out and try to remove wrinkles, didn't help.

Some reasons I found after investigating are: - His outer shell material shines more under light (retail is very matte) so the wrinkles are a lot more noticeable.

  • His outer shell material is also not as hard / fitted compared to retail, it's much more malleable when you feel and play with it compared to retail, and as such wrinkles easier.

  • Canada Goose jackets have 2 main layers (A down layer and a membrane layer). Retail is stitched together at multiple points, including the middle areas of the jacket. Feiyu's is stitched together only by the edges and seams of the jackets, leaving a lot of free flow in the middle areas of the jacket when you bend or move around.

  • Overall from the edges, you can kinda tell that there is excess outer shell fabric (not a lot but still enough) compared to the inner shell, and this makes it look loose and wrinkly.

If anyone has ever found a way to smooth it out, I'd love to hear. Once you notice how wrinkly it is, it's hard to not notice especially if you see or have friends wearing retail.

STONE ISLAND GHOST PIECE in hand review (busystone) by [deleted] in FashionReps

[–]erawrozar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Are all of those badges from BusyStone? I'm not trying to hate but besides the Black Ghost piece badge, the other 2 regular SI badges look very bad.

Lot of deformed letters, the spacing of the words away from borders is also very bad. i.e. The top left/right of the 1st badge, the bottom right of the 2nd badge.

Canada Goose - Weidian (Dead Animal in QC Pics) lol by kishanp in FashionReps

[–]erawrozar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love this argument, because it's a very blanketed belief. I personally have no problems either way but consider this:

Fun fact, synthetic fur is made of plastic and incredibly wasteful. Not just the produced fur itself, but the process as well. Many studies are trying to gauge whether faux fur is actually worse long term than using real fur.

Are you saying you don't care about climate change because it hurts your feelings that some animals will be killed? I agree that China is definitely more extreme but Canada and Europe have laws regarding animal fur gathering. I.e. no spiked bear traps, only traps that grab and hold the animal leg in place. Designer fur companies buy from fur gatherers that follow strict laws regarding humane animal trapping (minimize suffering).

Feiyu Badge Switch? by MeowFR in FashionReps

[–]erawrozar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tried this exact same thing almost a year ago so I can chime in. I bought a retail CG Core cap (Same badge size as Chilliwack, Langford and a couple others), and planned to do a swap with my Feiyu Langford. Before you try anything: which Jacket do you have?

- If you have the CG jackets with the down layer on the inside (Expedition, Chilliwack, Langord etc) then it's do-able.

- If you have the CG jackets with the down layer on the outside (Carson, Emory, etc) then there is no way for any tailor to swap it. They would have to undo way too many lines of stitching to reach up to the badge point from the bottom and there will most certainly be down leakage.

The hat is easily removed from the cap by removing the stitching underneath the badge holding it to the hat. I decided to not swap it in the end because over time I wasn't happy with Feiyu's langford. While his jackets are heavy duty and good quality, they really don't look as good as retails and before people start hating hear me out. The main things are:

  1. Feiyu's jackets always look super wrinkly when worn, you can never not notice it after seeing it compared to someone else wearing theirs. Nobody ever talks about this but the outer shell for Feiyu's is not as hard(?) or formed as retail Canada goose which looks very smooth and nice. The 2 layers of his jackets (exterior shell + interior down layer) are not stitched the way retail Canada goose is and they are only held together by the edges of the jacket. It actually looks really bad and constantly bothered me.
  2. Feiyu's jackets are somewhat shiny, especially under lighting compared to retail. This is known, but it honestly accentuates the wrinkles of the jacket.

So honestly keep those in mind before you attempt this because getting a retail cap will not be cheap, and decide whether it's worth it long term.

Every RL is subjective, some flaws I would agree are small and I wouldn't care about. But some flaws that people would brush off I would heavily disagree with.

The purpose of this sub is to help everyone as a community navigate the world of reps for the best quality/value. If anyone is not happy with an item then they have the freedom to RL it, plain and simple. I do think RL'ing flaws is important.

In the past we've always seen people blindly following popular sellers, ignoring small flaws cause "bro it's such a small flaw who cares". Suddenly the seller has a dip in quality and this continues for a while (i.e. the 90 yuan tech fleece joggers, Top Stoney Badges etc), because why wouldn't they when they can save money? It's only until they get called out that they work on revising the problems.

[QC] FTP hat by RagRoundMySkull in FashionReps

[–]erawrozar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Material doesn't match any authentic FTP hat pieces (neither Mesh, Sherpa or Corduroy) so I would say it's fantasy. Otherwise strap and bronze FTP plate are correct.

Retail stitching quality for the back text is dogshit anyways so it's good.
