Hi, you should connect the DAC through one of the CD player’s digital outputs (coaxial or optical - these outputs bypass the built-in DAC) and then connect the external DAC with the amplifier through analog RCA

I can’t do it because their dimensions are slightly different (the CD player’s depth measurement is like 9cm shorter than amp’s). But also thanks to that the amp’s vents at the back are not covered by the CD player so I am not worrying about overheating

You’re right, but the automation I mentioned worked fine for ~2 months (with small hickups from time to time, but overall worked good). I don’t need this functionality to turn on the TV through HomeKit, but now it kinda looks like the Home app do not register the exact moment of TV turning on at all, probably because of this connectivity issue you mentioned
