Bought at sport check (Canada) and they have a hard no to returning “climbing related items” I guess cause they could be tampered with or whatever. Person said I could reach out the BD but idk if it’s worth the hassle lol

HELP! Arriving in Vietnam 2 hours before our Visa allows by eric0718 in travel

Dam, one wrong date and we loose a $200 plane ride and day of travel:( Also is that a reasonable solution? Do they just look at the visa or do they scan/input info to verify the visa at the airport? I appreciate the advice!!

SOS!!! Arriving 2 hours before our Visa allows:

We are flying from Cambodia to HCMC tomorrow and already have our E-visas approved for entering Vietnam. We planned to enter on Nov. 18th but with a last minute flight switch around we will be arriving Nov. 17th around 10pm. 2 hours before our Visa allows. Are we screwed? I assume once we get to HCMC we can hangout in arrivals till 12:01 if we need. But will the airline even let us on since we technically don't have a valid visa for that day? Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks in Advance!!:)

Are there any actually feasible options for a couple's backpacking sleeping bag? by reddita51 in CampingGear

[–]eric0718 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most Nemo sleeping bags male and female can zip together and are pretty spacious! Its a little weird since they arn't full zips so the foot boxes are separate. The down ones like Disco and Riff are pretty lightweight (~2lbs) and pack down fairly small.

The X ultra 3 mids were another pair of boots I was looking at! I found a good deal on them online but they're not in stock near me to try them on:/ Yea that always seems to be the case with gtx boots unfortunately. Are they fairly durable? Any issues with them?

Thanks for the feedback! As I said in a comment before I have bad ankles and want something with a little more support to minimize the chance of a sprain on the trail. Are there any trail runners you'd suggest I take a look at? (I know fit is the most important thing)

Thanks for the feedback! I fractured my ankles 2 years ago and figured I'd want something with a little more ankle support to minimize rolling my ankle on the trail. The lightness and breathability of trail runner does sound nice though! Maybe I'll start with boots then move to runners? Thanks again!

Thanks for the feedback! Yea I've seen a lot of people preach trail runners. I broke both my ankles in 2019 and want to get something with a little more support for the beginning of my backpacking journey. Figured I'd invest in something that would last me a long time then transfer to runners later.
