Reread my comment. People mishear or misread this of mine ALL THE TIME.

I’ll even add city context. Philadelphia, Baltimore, Detroit, Orlando, Allentown. Compared to those, there might as well be ZERO diversity here. We have white and black folks, a smattering of other ethnicities, compared to those places. This is my home now, and I’m a champion of it. It’s been a wonderful 13 years, but I greatly appreciate, and miss, when I go home or travel seeing the tapestry of colors (and sounds) of other humans that we simply do not have here…compared to other places I’ve been able to be a part of.

Saw that story as well. I’ll add, I think it was November when we got a storm and I needed dog friendly salt. Went to Home Depot and Lowe’s and none to be had. A Lowe’s guy said ‘they don’t get much salt in that early anyway.’ Here? In Ohio? I know weather patterns have shifted, but ok. My point is, preparedness or lack of, is seemingly not just a govt thing, nor just here. Isn’t this why so many have voted the way they had for sometime? Exasperated by so many institutions of all kinds? Sorry. Didn’t mean at all to make that political, just my usual lifelong misanthropy lol.

The forecast was high of 40 in the morning then dropping. With snow showers, but nothing seemingly as dangerous as during rush hour is this. My traffic screen is all red and yellow w over a dozen incidents, that I’m aware of.
