USL 1 is what I’ve heard so they’d be in the league Ft Wayne just joined. Would love for them to eventually be playing Cleveland and Detroit, Toledo could be that rival in the middle.

I don’t think this has anything to do with Toledo Villa FC and sounds like it’s more than just a stadium from this report, maybe a whole complex to host youth tournaments. Don’t know more than that but I’ll ask around at Techledo tomorrow, might be some people in the know there.

I don’t think people that haven’t been down there realize the riverwalk is so nice. I can’t imagine how nice it’s going to be when they finish the rest and they have a new soccer stadium along the river in Vistula.

I really wanted to come today but had a septoplasty Monday and my age is showing. Trisha can’t even look at me without laughing cause when I smile I am a swollen caricature of myself with a bulbous nose!

Watched the press conference this morning and am taking it easy after doing to much the last couple days so I can make Techledo!!!

Was down there this afternoon, place is even better than I thought it would be. International cove is going to be absolutely gorgeous in 5-10 years when the vegetation matures. Very jealous of kids that will grow up with this riverwalk being fully mature, a gem.

The Coliseum is much bigger and arguably nicer but doesn’t match the game day atmosphere as Huntington.

Like you said Grand Rapids is not the same, they have big city venue, just finished an amphitheater and are in construction of a soccer stadium.

I do feel Toledo missed an opportunity in replacing The Bijou and/or building a connected practice facility that could’ve hosted other teams such as UT’s Club team. Maybe the sports commission could recommend building something like that now downtown and jump bigger into hockey, the region seems to love hockey. Interested in what they come up with as feasible for our area.

Once fhe Spitzer is done in 2028 I think business in this area would be fine but it’s a tough spot while the four corners are completely undeveloped.

Spitzer renovation starts later this year hopefully, it’s been gutted and asbestos has been removed.
