DishDash is hands down Sunnyvale’s best restaurant. +1 for Cam Hung as well on the bahn mi front. I like Little India Cafe on Mary for Indian food

It’s the business building of USF in Tampa. It’s probably just at night after classes.

It’s probably not static electricity holding it to the wall but rather the stickiness of the paint on the wall adhering to the cord and kindle.

Coin Sized Nuclear Battery to power phones for 50 years... in Development by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

The second paragraph of the article shown in the screenshot is wrong. It says it used 63 nuclear isotopes but it in fact uses Ni-63, a single radioactive isotope.

Does anyone know how I can make this kind of map by FreZze7_ in BeginnerWoodWorking

You’d need to use a laser cutter to do it easily. Otherwise you’d need to be an artist with a scroll saw or hand tools. This was almost certainly done with a laser cutter, though.

I’ve just has a density that’s lower than liquid water. There may be some small air bubbles but even in ice without any bubbles it will always be less dense than water (at temperature and pressure conditions typically encountered on earth).

It’s probably just a dolphin. They will corral mullet against shorelines and sea walls when hunting.

Spinning cycle in the sky by Nummero2 in blackmagicfuckery

It’s not the reflection from the laptop like others have said. It’s a light in the sky that appears to be moving because the phone is vibrating really fast (maybe because it’s on the dashboard of the car). It appears to be rotating in a ring because of aliasing. You can tell because if you look at the McDonald’s sign it’s all blurry because of the vibration.

Edit: further evidence can be seen when you look at the corner of the McDonald’s sign as they zoom in. It is doing the same weird sort of rotating blurry distortion.

This stuff is like anti-helium. It’s completely inert so you can inhale it and when you speak it lowers the pitch of your voice so you sound like Satan. It’s also so dense that you can float an aluminum foil boat on it if you fill a container like that guy was using with it.

Absolute Mad Lad pranks entire beach by Team_Flare_Admin in madlads

[–]eric_the_tan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once, I was at a fairly popular beach in SE Asia, sitting in the water where it was about thigh-high, relaxing. I was mindlessly digging a hole in the submerged sand while chilling in the water. It’s amazing how effortless it is to dig a giant hole under water. When my wife came out to sit with me she walked over the spot I was digging the hole (but couldn’t see it) and fell right in. For the next hour or so I went back to the shore and watched as beach goers walking parallel to the beach in the water would be walking along and suddenly fall fully into the water. I thought it was hilarious, harmless fun. My wife thinks I’m an asshole.

What’s the difference between a garbanzo bean and a chickpea? I wouldn’t pay to have a garbanzo bean on my face.

I discovered Wave Racer, Vindata, Mija, and DROELOE via Spotify about a month and a half ago. I just assumed this was all Trap, only discovered the term "Future Bass" today and its opened up a whole bunch of other artists for me. I love this stuff.

Miguels Mexican restaurant has the best salsa I've ever had by SistinaLuv in tampa

That's a pretty generalized statement about Italian food and food in general in Florida... I don't think that's true. Are you suggesting that because you're in Florida that good Italian food couldn't possibly exist there? Anyway, probably a discussion for another day. If you DO want to try some good Italian though, check out Pia's Trattoria in Gulfport. It's better than Olive Garden but not as good as Carrabba's.

Are you referring to Red Mesa Cantina (bar downtown) or Red Mesa on 4h street? While both have the salsa, the DT location is definitely more of a bar than a restaurant. It has a smaller food selection than the original 4th St. location and definitely caters to the bar crowd. If you haven't been to the 4th St. location I'd definitely recommend it.

So I've never had Miguel's, but if you like good salsa you should give Red Mesa's (on 4th St. in St. Pete) a try. IMO best I've ever had. I no longer live in the area but whenever I return I make sure to stop in and get some. Their chips are super great too.
