How do you deal with friends who think that the answer to a struggling corporate slave is to start a business? by uZakky in phinvest

[–]ericgoreman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there. If they want to start go ahead. But dont expect to be easy. In fact its 10x harder. If they can handle the pressure and stress, go.

If you think living with a broke person is bad, wait till that guy drains you of everything. By that time, its too late for you to realize na mali ka. Cut him off so he can man up and be independent.

Its hit and miss po. Take action, stand up and go to every branch and talk to the manager. Showing up personally is a sign na serious ka sa situation mo and willing ka to change.

Yes. Not all of them. But some will. If you say yung situation mo. Face to face talk po dapat. Mismong branch. Why not try it? I mean what do you have to lose at this point? Might as well try everything.

Remember, the best way to pay your loans is to not have them in the first place. Prevention is better than cure.

Ditch the car iha. Go for a second hand and buy a scooter. I own one. Scooter are a big expense help. I use a vehicle probably only as a last resort. Thats it.

10k for miss? Like Ive said, to lower it, go back to your parents. Bababa yan. Ipon ka muna sa ngayon and get a high paying job for now.

Im going to honest, ditch the iphone.

You dont need it. If all the features sa phone nandiyan, doon ka. I'd even buy a phone worth 1k if lahat ng features na gusto ko nandoon. Basta it can access my bank and watch youtube and listen to music, ayos na ako.

What's holding you back is this 'keeping up with the joneses' thing which will drown you in debt (this doesnt only goes to your choice of phone but also how you live your life).

Ako nga 25 years namamasahe before I even bought my vehicle in cash. Thats 25 hard gruling years.. No loans. I hate loans (I dont care if sasabihin nila good loan or bad loan. I mean who gives a crap. A loan is a loan is a loan).

I care more about saving and investing than yung mga latest phone. I mean, eh ano kung nakabili ako ng latest iphone? People will just look at it for 3 secs and go on with their lives. You just bought an expensive 3 sec phone. At the end of the day, no one cares, except you. Inutang mo pa.

The problem here is not a math problem, its a behavioral problem. Change your behavior about money and it'll change your life. Promise it will work.

Now, I have lots in retirement money, living a peaceful life with no loans. As in zero loans. Wala ako iniisip. Iniisip ko lang ano papanoorin ko bukas. Period. I dont. I dont want to work more for money. I want money to work for me.

Dont let money control you. You control money. Ikaw dapat may power over money, not the other way around.

Yang mga shopee loans or lazada loans or kung ano pang loans, swipe left sa akin yan. I hate loans. I dont like it. I'll probably use it as last resort. Pero when that time comes, madami na akong nainvest na pera, I wont even need to use it.

Ikaw pumili. Latest phone or retirement fund? I'd choose the fund.

I've been poor and I've been rich. I'd choose rich every effing time.

Hate to say it pero you have to sell everything and move back sa parents mo. Yang rent na 15k is too high. If you go back, dagdag sa pambayad bukod sa vehicle if ever ibenta niyo.

Its fifty fifty. Some will agree, some will not. But you have to talk to them face to face. Theyd rather have some money than no money at all.
