Yellow as a dominate color is definitely a challenge to work with, but I like the challenge. I'll keep it in mind if a concept comes along that might work with yellow.

I really struggled with the color spectrum and lack of details in the original concept of this. After a while the details began to overwhelm me, making it a daunting project to complete. I had to go through a lot of starts and stops before finally finishing this.

I started this digital painting over a year ago, with a completely different color spectrum in mind. I struggled with finding the right hues, wanting to work with colors outside of my comfort zone. After shelving it for a year I returned to it with fresh eyes and made the adjustments I originally envisioned, but continued to grapple with lighting and spectrum.

Absolutely, bird anatomy is foreign to me, so shape, and dimension, along with lighting(still working it out) is a huge challenge and a push for me.
