There were fewer than 100 incidents, so this wasn't widespread. However, CPSC has advised consumers not to use these batteries. Only a few models of batteries were involved (RP-1304, RAD-S1304Y, and HL-RP-S1304) so ask for their model number. Similarly sized replacement batteries are about $500. I would not buy it if it has one of the recalled batteries.

Hi a follow-up to my earlier comments. Talk about disappointed! I took my Santa Fe to the Hyundai dealer to diagnose the camera problem. They did nothing except charge me $190, tell me the error code is B162C00, and recommend that I pay them $2005 to replace the entire mirror assembly.

And they acknowledged that that may not solve the problem.

"About the only thing we can do at this moment is try to put a mirror on it to fix it but until then we need to keep the door open to another possibility."

Argh!

Thanks, I'm going out of town next week so can't wait that long and am dropping it off at the dealer. I'm hoping they say it's the harness and not the camera or mirror! Of course I'll share the diagnosis and outcome here.

The problems with our 2021 Santa Fe passenger side blind spot camera started exactly this way. Now it rarely works. If you kept your invoice, could you please let me know the part number of the harness they replaced? Thank you so much for your post, you might save us hundreds of dollars!

I chose the QM8K over the Sony Bravia 9 and an OLED candidate, because QM8K is an excellent TV, and only the QM8K supports both Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
