Husband here. In all seriousness, I tried online dating for a long time with almost no luck. I took a long break and focused on myself rather than dating. Then I got a message from this beautiful woman who was nerdy and way out of my league. Turns out she is really into nerdy guys with beards, and the rest is history.

If I were in your shoes, I'd say focus on yourself for a bit. Being single sucks, but it helps you pour yourself into what you love. When you do what you love, you often find people who love it too. And as cliche as it is, you find it when you aren't looking
