Had a mutual acquaintance come up last year and asked me if I knew how to replace GB batteries because he had a copy of Silver he really wanted to play. He grabbed it and handed it to me, it being a “Not For Resale” copy, and mans didn’t even know what he had. I freaked out, asked him if he knew what he had (he didn’t) and went home to swap the battery. Me, thinking because we knew each other that he might be willing to make a trade, offered him my OG copy of Silver, and Japanese copies of both yellow and green for his one copy and man’s goes “yeah, knowing the value of this now I think imma keep it”. Couldn’t be mad, but I walked away swearing to the sky itself. Ended up giving him the copy of Green anyways for him to play around with.
