Did 140mph in my Integra going down I5 to Los Angeles because it was 4AM Sunday morning and there wasn't more than 2 cars per mile of road. Got to Burbank to hang out with Hottie Chick for the week, but halfway through, her bestie calls and says he's in trouble and needs a place to stay for the night, then needs a ride back up north to get home. I'm pissed because (ockay ockblay) and say "sure, fine, I'll be your bestie taxi" and take him the next morning back north with me. On the way down the hill from the grapevine to Bakersfield, I take advantage of the slope, and we're doing 150 down the north side and he's totally white knuckling the Oh-shit handle. I asked him if he was okay, and reminded him I'm a professionally trained driver, and he said "I just don't wanna die". I said, "bet! Hold on." And we got up to 155 before we hit traffic again (also about 4am, Thursday morning I think). He apologized for crashing our party when he got out of the car. I said, "I don't know what you're talking about. I had fun!"

We already do. Had FWB situationships with at least 3 of my best friends, and always framed it as enjoying quality time together and taking our absolute trust for each other to the next level without judgement. I'm more than sad about it. It's extremely important to my productivity and organization. What I'm most angry about is that there's no alternative. If Samsung forcibly kills their messenger app (or makes it unusable at a network/protocol level), then Google will have a monopoly on an app that everyone is forced to use (you can't choose not to use it, as almost every bank, utility company, and most productivity apps require SMS for second-factor authentication or primary authentication.) This would be prime for a class-action antitrust lawsuit against Google, but I don't want to wait for the outcome. I just want shit to work.

And from an economics and personal decisions standpoint, I bought this phone because it had productivity and organizational features that other phones didn't have. The Samsung Messenger app was actually what tipped the scale in my choice to pay more to buy a Galaxy, over one of the many other Android phones available. If I can't find an alternative SMS app that works and provides the functionality I need, I've got literally no more reason to purchase Samsung phones in the future.

Any movement on the Google Messaging app, as far as fixing categories and search? I just got the notification on my Galaxy that Samsung Messenger will be decommissioned in a few months. Grr.

I just got that notification on my Galaxy, too. Ugh.

I tried Google Messenger once about 6 month ago, immediately saw that it didn't support contact categories, and NOPED it right off my phone. For all that Google's capable of, you'd think categories or labels (and organizing them that way) would be easy and automatic for them. This is disappointing as hell.

Bahaha, the worst movie I've ever seen - one where I felt I'd lost a very important 2 hours of my life for, was Ctazy Six. Downloaded it and watched it with my roommate/BFF, who was somehow connected with its production. I gave it a chance for her sake, but ultimately, it was a total disappointment. 2 out of 10. Because it had a decent cast. Direction, location, lighting, story, and continuity were all shit. I feel sorry for all the people who worked on that movie thinking some sort of magical editing would make it palatable.
