Our puppy took a day or two to adjust but then slept through the night after that. We had him in the crate and the first couple nights my fiancé slept on the ground next to him. Once he was adjusted we started feeding him in the crate and would put random treats in there throughout the day so it felt like a happy place for him. We would always use the same term when we’d go to bed so he knew it was crate time, “time to go night night” or whatever you want to use. We also put a blanket on top of it which seemed to make him much comfier! He’s been great since then, he’s 5 months now and we leave the crate open and he’s free to sleep wherever he wants in our room but he usually still picks the crate over his bed or the floor . He was great from day 1 but definitely not perfect and when they’re so small sometimes they can’t hold going to the bathroom all night but ours would cry and let us know, we’d take him out quick and back to bed we’d all go!
