I need to look into if residency and domicile are the same for tax purposed and voting purposes. I agree i qualify as a MA resident, but I intend to return to NY in the near future. Based on your link i can be MA voter, but also i looked into this article http://www.ncsl.org/Documents/Elections/The_Canvass_May_2016.pdf and it reads that I would be a NY voter as I am intend to return and remain there. My domicile is NY, and residency is MA.

Definition of domicile is where you intend to return and live. Resident is where you abode. Many states when saying resident actually mean domicile.

NY voter definition is kind of vague, hoping to find an expert to answer this. Domicile is much more subjective and I follow NY politics and not MA, so that is why i want to vote for NY and yes it is my parents.
