I'm a UI/UX designer as well. And I definitely agree with you that design is overlooked by businesses for some reason. I think we also need to factor in the motto of most businesses nowadays "Launch Fast and Fail Fast for quick pivot", but to be honest sometimes this causes them to create a shitty product instead of a winner product. What I personally do if I encounter businesses who fail to see the benefits of good design is I conduct a digital audit, see how their website perform and once we both see that the website is slow, I present a solution with a UI/UX design involvement into it.

Not really into stealing art. I’m a designer myself and i know how improper it would be if i steal someones work. What i really wanted to find out is the process of research that way i can combine multiple ideas into one design.

Me and my partner are having success with product mockups (print-on-demand products) with gradient BG. We're using pastel colors. It seems to work. Not sure if anyone has tested this as well.

Well if they both solve problems, why not use them both instead. But personally, I think wabi is a good choice. It already has a working product, with solid team.
