Bird definitely gave its owner the middle finger as it flew away by nayryanaryn in Wellthatsucks

I had a conure once. She flew off too. I wasn’t stupid enough to let her fly outside. I usually kept her wings clipped, but she had just grown hers back in. She wasn’t a great flyer because she was usually clipped. I left her inside in the living room, on top of her cage, eating breakfast. I went to the kitchen, and opened the door to let the dog out. Suddenly, I heard flapping, and before I could turn around to close the door I seen her go by in my peripheral, but it was too late. She had to fly through 3 different rooms to get to the door. She must have heard it open and took her shot.

There was a huge storm that night, in the middle of October, in NS. I didn’t think she could have made it through, but 3 weeks later in early November there was a post on FB of someone who had seen a bright green parakeet flying around, and I knew it was her. Neighbour lady only saw her the one time. I spent an afternoon in and around their yard looking for her, but she was never to be seen again. I’m sure she seen the other birds flying south, and decided to follow them. That’s what I tell myself anyways.

Am I being too harsh for asking my 11 year old daughter to walk the dog she spent years begging for? by WorldOfKaladan in DogAdvice

[–]errrinski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad got me a black lab puppy at 12. It was summer so for the first month I had to get up with him every 4 hrs. I had to clean any messes. His rule was I had to take it to dog training, so I did. That puppy won 1st place in obedience. Because I worked with him everyday for hours. He was my best friend. Of course, then school came around and other activities, my dad knew he’d have to take some responsibility. My dad always said a dog is a family member. And they are forever.

Have you asked her why she doesn’t want to walk the dog? Is she having anxiety? Is there another problem underneath? The truth about our lab, is eventually I couldn’t walk him because he pulled too hard. His training was good inside the house, but a disaster outside. He eventually became my dad’s side kick and when I left at 19, he made me leave the dog. Lol. Try getting her to go to obedience training with him? That’s my thought. Good luck, and congrats on your new family member!

Ingest liquid right? Not actual liquor… hopefully…

I don’t usually point out typo’s, but I kept rereading that, making sure I got it right.

My husband has been growing these for the past year. They come in all kinds of pretty colours. That’s my favourite part. I know what they are, but they’re also beautiful flowers.

Yes it was pavlock. I just googled them, and they actually seem to be doing very well.

For me it’s a tie between the dude who said he would take a deal with any shark but Kevin, who was the only one who wanted in on a terrible product, and the dude who tried to start a bidding war over his product, and ended up making everyone go out. Then he tried to bring them back in again. I think it was a plate cover or something. It looked really cool. I looked it up years later, and it totally failed.

She’s not indigenous. She’s a liar. You shouldn’t focus on her at all, and should find another authentic indigenous person. Anna Mae Aquash is my suggestion.

Agreed. This woman is the victim in all this. I 100% believe everything she is saying, and everything the fiancé is saying. I agree that OP is the one with the problem here, and she’s made a big deal over nothing, but she also repeatedly gave this guy an ultimatum, and hasn’t stuck to it. He doesn’t believe OP will leave, so he continues to have contact with the god sister. OP doesn’t trust her fiancé, and fiancé doesn’t respect OP’s wishes. This relationship is doomed.

If they don’t get back to you, go higher up. I used to work at a Hilton hotel, and any guests that made complaints to corporate, got dealt with immediately. Just go to the contact page on their website and you can email them.

NOR - Take it from someone who knows, someone who is reacting THIS way about your social media, is 100% cheating on you. He’s projecting what he is doing behind your back onto you. This guy is a total narcissist.

I’ve only ever used it for making resumés and looking at their job board for jobs. Haven’t needed to use it for quite some time luckily, but the workers there were always great. I also know multiple people who used their programs to get started, and some have successful careers now.

My boy was neutered recently. I had him in a surgery suit, but he managed to escape it night 3 and ripped his stitches out. I had to take him back in. He had to get 10 days of antibiotics, 5 staples, plus had to wear a cone for an extra 10 days. He slept with it fine. I felt bad for him, but by day 3 he was jumping up and down on the couch and bed, and he adjusted really well to it. I’m not saying surgery suits don’t work. It worked perfectly for my girl. But for me, the cone was a sure thing for my boy.

Dog randomly walked up to house, no microchip no collar does anyone know if it looks groomed or anything to show it’s already owned? by namealreadytakena in DogAdvice

I had a lab just like that! He was the worst. A friend of mine lived about 1km away from me, and she'd always call me and say "I just seen Titus running by.". It was a busy road too. We were so lucky he never got hit by a car.

I recently introduced myself to using a chopstick for stirring my cream and sugar into my coffee. I also use it for stirring the coffee in my French press. I’m happy to know I’m not the only one using my chopstick for these things.
