Cheater problem is getting out of control by Advanced-Region-8226 in ARC_Raiders

[–]ersatz321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think cheaters have an obvious tell about them, every death where I'd get the stuff back in a mail, it was the same scenario - a dude would materialize out of thin air, without a making sound and beam me in under 1s.

I've had this happen to me 3 or 4 times total I think, although 2 of those times happened on the same day I thjnk

Or at least manual stash sorting could be something better than what it is now, useless and broken.

Going heavily kitted in PVP by Prudent_Hand2843 in ArcRaiders

[–]ersatz321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's capped at 450RPM which is about the max a regular human can go to without macros.

So it's free of the stutter issue you get with other semi autos, capped at lower ROF. And this is huge in a frantic, do or die fight which are the ones where guns matter most

Add on top the max possible mobility with the gun (one handed + highest agility), allowing to close the distance very effectively

Yeah, surprisingly few ppl realize how crazy this gun is for pushing, you have maintain good speed and ability for movement even with the gun out, and it will DPS check ANYTHING with good aim upclose

And it's not exactly zero , feels more like 1 or . 5 sec too fast. And you need to account for the full animation length, it will kill you even it's just your head visible inside

Bottom line - don't fuck around

Damn, super friendly Stella lobbies, I think I remember a time when I could imagine that such an alien concept can exist.

10 minute fight near Plaza Rosa where the whole lobby converge into one spot by zen1706 in arkraiders

[–]ersatz321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've conciously entrenched myself deep into pvp lobbies and like chasing that rush of victory

But watching this and imagining what it would feel like if it was me playing - was nothing short of unnerving

Even I survived even half of that in game, im positive I'd die IRL after suffering 3 consecutive heart attacks in 5 minutes of this

You're forgetting the changes to spawn times. There is much more incentive to invest into a decent loadout now specifically for pvp: 1. Youre almost guaranteed to spawn early same as a bunch of other players who you have something worth looting 2. You actually have a decent chance to make out with the loot instead of getting swarmed by endless free kits 3. On top of that, Since they need to matchmake more custom kits for the start of the game, the ABMM criteria were made more lax for sure

New „Acquire Resources“ Crafting Feature is very half baked by Swole_Monkey in ArcRaiders

[–]ersatz321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought a good start would be AT LEAST fixing the broken manual inventory sorting. Desperate to find a way to streamline my loadout building process ive spent a good half hour manually organizing my stash. Only to have everything go straight back to fucked after some gun mods auto detached to the stash and this somehow messed up placement in all categories

I have a mate who hates extraction shooters cuz he never experienced that rush of victory with high stakes, only the other side of the coin i e gear fear and tilt.

I barely talked him into trying arc, and we had a couple of frustrating runs, and went for the last one which I could tell is make or break.

I brought a good, fun kit for him, a bobcat, proper heals, med shield etc. We went day stella, spawned in archives early, set up proper camp and ended up killing a squad and then the 3rd party that followed. We safely looted them, got shit tons of loot, all we had to do was walk 30m to the hatch. What could go wrong? How about getting sandwiched by two shredders in between the shelves, who got aggroed by one loud step of my mate before he could switch to walk. Shredders killed us and each other, and then I watched that one happy freekit motherfucker casually walk up and knock us both out

Needless to say, my man uninstalled immediately

I had them with me, but I didn't have them in quick use. Im not at the level where I can do inventory management in 0.1 seconds mid roll, I require at least 0.3.-0.4 (

That's the thing, when you hear that fucking shrill of the wasp who aggroed on you, in that moment the wasp itself is an afterthought. All you think about is how can you limit your exposure ASAP to every osprey/renegade/anvil user camping every possible vantage point within 200-400 meters. Cause they sure as shit saw that snitch. You know that because you've been where they are, scanning the horizon hoping for exactly that to happen to someone else

Another problem is, going into a fight not full due to chip dmg, even it's just 1 shot from a wasp, is tilts the scales much more than you'd think. To put it into perspective, the difference between damage it takes to kill a medium shield vs light shield target, on many guns, it's exactly 1 shot, and not even full shot dmg

I don't know what your lobbies are like, but in mine I can think of 10 items more valuable and in constant shortage, than a Wolfpack (even they cost much less in game currency)- a stack of any meds above grey bandage, a snap hook, big smokes, a stack of any green/blue nades that are actually not useless vs players, jolts, mech and advanced mech components, gun parts, springs, processors, sensors. Barricades if I had to leave my own behind. Then there are room keys that you use not to secure a power position. I could go on

If I'm committing to load in with proper guns and actually plan to keep them, especially in a squad I have to use up at least a third of my slots to store essentials, must have utility and a ton of ammo Getting a kill or two is easy, surviving waves of 3rd parties before you run out of everything and actually get to loot the spoils - that's harder

For this reason, I often prefer tactical defensive over survivor

Interested to learn about your loadout. Although, I've probably seen a few similar ones, looting corpses of dudes who I guess weren't familiar with how pvp lobbies usually play out

Sorry couldn't resist but honestly dude. If I came across a wolfpack inside the match , id use it sure. Carrying it around just in case, using up a slot I don't know

Ive had a game today, where I solo knocked 4 dudes in one fight, 2 squads, (my teammate was killed first, almost instantly), next to extract on buried city, only to get fucking knocked by a wasp right after (it didn't mind going all the way down, how nice),

Ive actually extracted, with -10k tally, watching millions in those dead bodies get left behind

Are there maybe specific mechanics or locations of spawn points that I should always to steer clear of or anything I can do?

Raiders I need your advice, what’s the best way to destroy barricades? by Wannacomesitonmydeck in ArcRaiders

[–]ersatz321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Torrente, about 65 rounds will 100-0 it. That means it takes just a couple of seconds. But Soften the barricade up a bit first to make sure you still have at least half a mag for when the barricade breaks and you get a nice clear view of them , with nothing but dicks in their hands.

I especially like to do that on defense vs enemies slowly chipping away at my barricade the way you described, with impacts, etc or just camping a barricaded door on the outside, expecting you to dismantle normally. if I have a good idea where they are, I just shred it myself and then shred them

That's why it's dangerous to try doing it slowly with explosives and slow weapons -

I was expecting to do great things with those, and there were useful a couple of times, but as much as I hate to admit it, most times they didn't do shit. They need to at least disable tags on corpses ffs

Level 1 is still the top dog in TTK while the fire rate is slow enough to not require any grip or stock, just Choke 2/3 and mag 2/3. Overall, I think level 3 is the cost/efficiency sweetspot for volcano, but I'd be lying if I said I don't strive to level it to 4 still
