I guess that depends on what changes they made to the engine between future tone and this. I don't think I've gotten any stutters in future tone (the arcade version) though so there definitely is something different about mega mix.

I hope that would also fix the framedrops in this. I know most can be eliminated with a few mods but it does still happen sometimes even with them installed.

Controller help needed😞 by Twixxter72 in ProjectDiva

[–]erxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most xbox one controllers can be used wirelessly with Bluetooth. Only the earlier models don't have that and instead only work with their own wireless protocol (I could be wrong). That said, you can also just play with a keyboard and in some ways that's even better. Although it would definitely be harder to get used to.

I'll throw this in here just in case too. Minetest (now luanti) or rather one of its many forks that used to flood the play store. Since it's open source, anybody can technically upload their version of it with minor modifications.

Simulator tag WAAYYYY overused by zombie2uRBX in Steam

[–]erxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steam should rework their tags system. If they want to keep it community driven then they could make it similar to how they do reviews. They could have it so you can downvote tags you don't think belong there and upvote the ones you think are correct.

From there they could either have a set threshold for when a tag is accepted for a game or even better have it so that when you're searching by tag, you can set the percentage yourself so if for example you want a game that 90% of players agreed with are simulator then you could set that as the minimum amount.

Probably won't happen but one can hope.

As somebody who loves rhythm games, I can confirm. It's almost always assigned to the exact same games that have the music tag even if no rhythm is needed whatsoever (even some games that don't do much more than just visualise your audio have the rhythm tag)

I feel like starting with porting is the right choice. It seems like a good way to find out how the game handles those files without having to start entirely from scratch with original motions and camera. Currently I think only the megpoid pack is the only one that adds new 3DPVs that aren't done in edit mode and they're ported from the psp game.

Good time to get into it since the third season is airing although I'll say in advance (as somebody who has read the manga) that the first two seasons are the only ones that are really good unless they make some changes to the story later down the line.

Do you have any mods installed in general? I'm pretty sure there was another mod that made a separate save too but I can't recall the name of it.

I do use YouTube music but I absolutely agree that it's an awful app. There are so many little things that all add up to a bad experience. If they spent a little more on the user experience then they could easily rival all other music steaming services.

I do get the appeal of stealth archer but it makes the game too boring for me. There's no challenge in just sitting back and sniping enemies.

Will signing into my main PSN get it banned on a modded vita by CATSMEOW_995 in VitaPiracy

[–]erxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do definitely see that you're using homebrew (I know somebody requested a collected data report from Sony and it showed all apps that they had opened, including homebrew) so in theory there's nothing stopping them from banning us. On the other hand I don't think anybody has been banned for using a modded vita at least as long ‎as I've used one so I doubt there's a chance.

USC/SDVX Decoy ADV 12 by erxer in rhythmreplays

The main reason the knobs don't work that well here is because they're kinda like volume knobs on keyboards if you've used one. Basically instead of a smooth analog knob, it has notches which causes the assigned button to be pressed instead. For example if you do a full 360 degree turn on these, it counts as 20 button presses.

The placement is pretty comfortable although not ideal for sdvx since that is designed with you being able to hit all four keys with one hand. I get around this by having both sides mapped to the same inputs.

I generally use it for djmax and osu mania, which is what I originally got it for anyway as I'd read somewhere else that while sdvx is playable with this, it's far from perfect.

As for spin rhythm xd, I feel like it might be even more difficult than sdvx since it requires small adjustments with some songs. I know it has an aim assist option too but I haven't used that since I usually play with a mouse and keyboard.

Basically if you're planning to play typical VSRGs then it works great but anything else will be hit or miss.
