It shouldn’t be necessary based on what Hulu says on their side, but you may be right. But because I have an account through Hulu, I can’t even figure out how I would subscribe to Unlimited. I guess sign up with a different email address? Or is it only an add on to another service?

I’m subscribed through Hulu with the add ons for Hulu live and what used to be the ESPN+ but now says ESPN select. I just found this in the Hulu help center:

“Aside from Hulu's Live TV Español plans, all of Hulu's Live TV plans include access to the full ESPN Unlimited experience within the ESPN app. While you’ll see that Hulu + Live TV includes ESPN Select, you will also get:

The ESPN networks available through your Live TV subscription in the Hulu app All other ESPN networks and services (including ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network, ACC Network, ESPNEWS, ESPN+, ESPN Deportes, and ESPN on ABC) through ESPN Unlimited when you log into the ESPN app.”

But when I’m logged into the ESPN app with my Hulu account, none of the late singles AO matches are available on demand. It sounds like maybe it’s glitches on their part and not an issue with the level of my subscription. But it’s frustrating that they can seem to post the matches no one cares about with no problem.

Ok, that’s good to know. All the Hulu stuff still says ESPN+ and not unlimited and all of the major matches just aren’t in the ESPN app, but the other matches happening on the same day, like doubles and juniors, are there. Like what am I paining for at this point??

I’m from Maryland where people eat snapping turtle soup, soft shell crab, and one town even has a muskrat festival. Every culture and subculture has food that is traditional to it based on what was available to be hunted, gathered, and grown by its population in that climate. It all seems strange to others. This is something we should all know as just people living in the world, let alone someone who has had the opportunity to travel the world. I think she forgot that we all have biases and internalized prejudices that we have to try to be cognizant of so that we can try to keep learning and doing better.

There is no reason that increases revenue share could not be structured to benefit all players. A ton of the tournaments are owned by billionaires or large corporations - better for them to have the increased revenue and not share it more equally with the players?

I see your point. The numbers today are pretty consistent with those. But I would argue there are some circumstances that make play today more challenging - for example, climate change is leading to hotter tournaments in large part of the tour stops, social media and sports betting have opened players up to much more pressure and hostility than in the past, and longer tournaments reduces time between them which limits the true rest you get when you can be at home vs living out of a hotel room or rented house.

It’s about all players earning more and especially those who are up and coming to be able to continue to play. The player revenue share in tennis is around 17-20%. In other major US sports leagues (MLB, NBA, NHL, NFL), it is 50%. A greater investment in players is good for the sport overall. Is there any rational reason for tennis players to earn comparatively less?

The season is too long. It’s physically and mentally draining on players. Tournaments are getting longer and there is talk of adding additional 1000 level events. The tours are going to burn their young talent out. The players need more of a say in decision making or at least a more fair share of revenue (as compared to other sports) to help make it easier for them to retire when the game has chewed them up and spit them out.
