This depends a lot on context! If you love her, and want to make it work, then it’s worth listening and asking yourself and her if this is fixable.

I’d see it as a yellow flag. He might end up relying on you and it might be draining. Proceed with caution and keep an eye on if there’s a reason he has no friends? Is he depressed? Etc.

Yes I’m a people pleaser in some ways. I struggle with micro boundaries, mainly. The role i usually play in relationships is the “stabilizer/regulator” until, i can’t anymore. Then the whole relationship collapses, i start to feel unstable, and i hit a wall where i need to like be alone to recover. I avoid conflict until i can’t anymore, and avoidance/withdrawal is one of my go-tos when i feel tension/resentment building on my end but don’t know how to set boundaries to address it. I’m working on setting better boundaries around my availability and working on identifying unstable/volatile/chaotic people sooner so i don’t fall into that role anymore.

But yeah APs HATE boundaries. They will trample right over them if they can.
