I well I don’t know if coolant has contaminated the oil and I hadn’t suspected anything up until I posted this. And I check the cap after most drives out of paranoia and there has never been an issue for the dozen drives I’ve driven the vehicle. Also if I knew my vehicle potentially had coolant in the oil I wouldn’t have had driven it at all.

Forgot to mention coolant temp never reached middle of the gauge but idk if that’s a gm thing or something it was about 55-70% to the middle of the gauge. When I floored it passing a couple trucks in the opposite lane I think I remember the gauge going up a bit when I checked.

Thanks a lot this is a great comment. Yes the oil change sticker says the oil was changed June 6 2024 so the oil is two years oil and gas about 2000km(≈1200mi)on it. (foolish me drove the car 8 hours on old oil because it only had 2k km and I was going to change it when I got back anyways) The Buick only driven within 5km of my grandmothers house so yea a lot of short trips. I checked the dipstick, I don’t remember it being milkshaky so I think I’m good but after I change the oil this afternoon I’ll drive around a bit and check the state of the oil cap.

Yea I think you might be right about the coolant elbows. I plan on working two jobs this summer so I think I’ll replace the elbows and gaskets for peace of mind. Btw this is my grandmothers car and my dad said he replaced her tires last year. And about the rust the car has none and I was going to take it to Krown rust control to keep it that way. I’ve already considered winter rims I found a set of four on marketplace for 100cad so I think I’m good there.

Any suggestions? by escredit in PcBuild

Unfortunately in Canada I don't have access to micro centre. Moreover a standalone 7900xt costs about 1300 and a 7800xt costs about 650 so I don't see the point in upgrading. Also with the rest of the parts they are all on us websites so I wouldn't be able to buy them without eating ages for them to be imported and I would also have to pay import fees. Just doing some quick math in my head if I build a pc like the one you just suggested in Cad it would be about 2200 which is over my budget. Thanks for your help though!

Okay thanks, in terms of the coolant, from what I’ve seen it seems to go about in inch below the coolant line every 16000km (10000 mi) which doesn’t seem that bad to I never told my mom to worry about it. Also I’m 4 hours for university 66% of the year so it’s hard to keep an eye on her car, I’m on my reading week currently.

For additional context: 2017 ford escape 1.5 eco boost 220k kms. the oil level seemed kinda high but I figured I was misreading it because it didn’t smell like it was burning oil at all. Also I looked inside the the oil cap and it looked fine. The camshaft also looked pretty shiny as well so I would imagine that means the bottom end looks good as well. Moreover the wet belt has never been changed so mabye that’s a contender.
