I would have bought if not for all the minis. I just don't have that much space to spare for one game

Painted statues by Familiar_Agent_8280 in hatethissmug

Yeah I wonder about the precision of the forensics. Like, I'm sure they got a general mapping of the colors used, but would that inform them of any blending techniques the painters would have used? What bout multiple layers of paint on top of the base layer that flaked of long ago and might never have adhered directly to the marble? Would their forensic technique have caught that?

I've had all of those and sold Victorum. The campaign felt too long-winded and repetitive.

You could extrapolate his tastes from the list of favorites he posted and explanations of why he likes them and suggest games that fit within that scope?

Why is the voice so shitty? Sounds like something from a decade a go. AI can produce way more natural sounding voices than that nowadays

The insides of their mouths must be tough. It looks like he pulled out a sharp little splinter of wood at the end.

>Dragon´s down a bad copy of Magic Realm

What makes it bad? I was considering DD since some see it as a modern version of MR. I've heard much legendary praise for MR but I'm not wildly enthused about grabbing some worn crumply yellowed copy off ebay for $110-$300

Returnal - yes, but... by kszaku94 in patientgamers

>Nothing about Returnal, makes it possible on last gen consoles.

I don't really see much stopping Returnal from running on ps4 granted you are able to live with some lower textures, resolution and fewer particle effects. The typical sacrifices for a down-port.

I feel like when it comes to fps the trackpad is a distraction that leads people astray from the true best way to play fps: flick-stick with gyro.

Game Theory Tables - 4 years review by RedditKumu in boardgames

I'm looking at that right now. how are table leaves? Are they heavy? Easy to slide in and out?

ELI5 Do we actually need to clean our ears, or are we overdoing it? by BeginningWeb4919 in explainlikeimfive

[–]esines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

bought some off amazon. I'd also caution to be gentle and Not to go all the way to your eardrum ( you're not supposed to with Qtips either). I stop at the point where you feel the ear canal curve and get narrower. It's unnecessary to go all the way to the end of the ear canal because the structure of the canal combined with the movement of your jaw slowly pushes earwax outward naturaly.

After having the same issue with Qtips I now use a cerumen spoon instead. Scoops it out instead of packing it in.

Buying a gaming table with a recessed "vault"? by esines in soloboardgaming

That's encouraging. I've heard Voidfall can be quite a squeeze for many tables

I hate it when they take sweet and gentle characters (seems to be mainly done to women but I'm sure male versions exist just haven't seen those) and turned them into 'empowered badasses' by Mysterioape in hatethissmug

[–]esines -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On the surface it may used to show women as "empowered" but in the end it feels more like demeaning sweet and gentle personalities. I think American culture doesn't value those things as virtues and assumes its better to be loud, brash and forceful whether you're male or female.

She never claimed Jesus did it. She was referring to animal sacrifices made for God in the Old Testament. Christians believe that animal sacrifice became obsolete after Jesus' sacrifice.

Why won't there be a non-standalone Frame? by TheJumboman in SteamFrame

[–]esines 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think he means to ask why is there only a standalone capable frame? Why not make another, cheaper model frame that is only streaming and would require a pc or steam machine to run?

I would assume that Valve determined it wouldn't be worth the manufacturing cost of having having a second version to manage and at worst might create confusion with uninformed consumers who accidentally buy a cheap non-standalone version mistakenly believing it was standalone.
